Where the World begins and ends

Biggest work I've done, by far, and made solely for a portfolio. About 35 hours of time used, many long nights and lots of sitting muscles trained, and I got it done. ;U; In time even. 

So we're having this big school project and task is to create online portfolio. And I'm not talking of any regular schoolwork, it's this special kind, and of course I couldn't find the english word for it. Tasks that are part of vocational schools. So it can't be just something slammed together, it is to test our skills. As I am, I wanted to make as good as I could, and to showcase my art what would be better than a video? Problem was, my speedpaints were so old, definitely not gonna use them. Only option left was then to make a new one. How much work can one create to themselves...?

Well I accepted the challenge, I had the idea ready in my head, an epic idea inspired by Nightwish. But I also knew the idea needed a lot of work and time, and time was short with this project. But I loved to work on the image and that's why I got it done actually kinda quickly. It was a fun experience, I tried many new things and learned a lot. Even if this isn't the main focus of my portfolio, but because of this I've learned so much during this project.

Something I still have to clear out, the wings 'create' the space, see the blackness between the wings?


You'd think creating planets is hard, but actually it's kinda simple. Few good tectures, spherize, some effects and voila!
