This piece has such a romantic, special mood to it. I love how her hair is gently cascading down her back, just as the water is from the waterfall. The waterfall is the perfect backdrop for this piece… it’s such a lovely work! The flowers and the twisty tree bark add to the vibe, and I love that you drew it like it’s our own sneak peek into their sweet little moment.
This feels a bit like it’s a look back in time - or in a fantasy world - where lovely maidens wear dresses and steal into the forest for some affection from the one they love. It’s a beautiful picture. Your skill with landscapes - wow! This piece would be so intimidating for me to try, but you make it look effortless! I want to step into this scene (or just re-enact it with my husband)! I noticed you used a lot of blue in this piece. Blue is probably my favorite color for artwork… but I’m curious how this would look with other colors! Maybe a pink version, or a predominantly purple one. Or what if you made the lovers the focus even more by adding a choosing a color that’s different from the rest of the piece? Even if you don’t want to do it on this one (I wouldn’t blame you - it’s practically perfect in every way), it’d be fun to try on another piece! Thank you for creating this stunning masterpiece! SUCH a good one for Valentine’s day!

Thank you so much for the comment!
I think Blue was perfect for this, yes other colors would be wonderful but would alter the atmosphere. It could have been a good idea, but i wanted nature to have its share of focus too, a kind of second protagonist

Well yes, i have other pieces with more focus on the characters I'll do something similar maybe in the future, i buyed a lot watercolors
Oooh.... I am SO glad to hear you bought a lot of watercolors! Means that I have a lot of art to look forward to from you!
(Honestly I am SO into blue in pictures... I participated in Critmas and realized that 90% of the artwork I chose was mostly blue. So you definitely have a ton of people this will appeal to, I think! I was just supposed to suggest something to change, and since I couldn't think of anything to FIX, I had to come up with something! haha)
many ways. I like the clever use of the color purple and blue. This came out really well.
