Gotta get this off my chest first because I’m paranoid af.
[For context: The son of a dictator in the Philippines, Bongbong Marcos, is winning the presidential elections by a LANDSLIDE and the country may potentially (hopefully not likely) go through another Marcos era. The economy is already collapsing as stocks for local corporations are going down, prices going up, and international investors potentially withdrawing. However, the statistics of the elections are reeeeaally suspicious and the voting process was overall questionable. Basically, we are all royally screwed, and the apologoists don’t even know it yet :’)) There is so much more to this, but this is all I can say for now.]
Because of our current political crisis, I've seen many international clients backing out of commissions from Filipino artists on social media, fearing being "involved" or "at high risk." I’ve even seen some go as far as throwing the word “facism”, assuming that all Filipinos are supporting a
