Another Birthday

Yet another birthday comes and goes, nothing changes, nothing grows.
  • Creation Date: January 27, 2018
  • Software Tools: Poser 11 Pro, Photoshop CS6

Notes: My 33rd birthday is next week and I’m neither dreading nor looking forward to it. It’s just another birthday. This artwork is my attempt to illustrate how I feel about it. I’m not sure why there is an overall pink tone (that was, accidental) but it’s there. Overall, I’m satisfied with how this artwork turned out.

Technical Notes: The character used in this artwork is my D9S Lilla whom is available in my Renderosity storefront. The base render was rather straightforward and I used IDL lighting with a single soft key light. The rest of the magic happened in postwork where I added several borders to give it an old photograph feel. I also used some Photoshop actions and adjustment layers to give the colors a vintage photo feel. I also added the flames to the candles with a brush and PS layer style. Her tear trails were also added in postwork with a brush and custom layer style.

I totally like the picture Love  and reminds me a little of a photo (artwork) from one of my birthdays that I started years ago but never finished. Sweating a little...
I always try to ignore my birthday and for 10 years I could even keep it a secret on my workplace. I am a dummy!
On my last birthday I just fled to an island and spent the whole day looking at everything. Distraction!

Yeah, I had a feeling I'm not the only one who feels this way on their birthday. :) I'm glad you like it! Thanks!

No one should have to buy his or her own birthday cake.

I actually did end up buying my own birthday cake in real life this year. At least I didn't have to buy all of my own presents too. I got some nice gift cards from my aunts.

I can sympathize.
If I got hit by a truck tomorrow, no one would miss me but my girlfriend and her cat.

Well, when I turned 40 the guys I work with took off at lunch time and bought party hats and candles.......and a pizza. They stuck the candles in the pizza and sang happy birthday. At home that night, I sat through dinner with my wife and kids and no one seemed to remember. It dawned on my wife just before she went to bed and she was so sorry! So whether you have people in your life or not, your birthday can still turn out to be just another day. Even awesome people can have a crappy birthday. Hope that helps.
