History:
Everything happens in the events of "Honor Among Thieves" Sly gets Dr.M defeat and leave the vault to meet with their friends, just not find them, checking the signal from the tracker sees his friends have gathered in a point of the island so you will find them, comes close to the edge of a cliff without seeing anyone, but suddenly hears someone behind him and when he turns around get shot in the stomach and falls off the cliff into the sea, because his gang and Carmelita had other plans and no longer needed, they needed him to open the vault.

Historia:
Todo sucede en los eventos de "Honor entre ladrones" Sly consigue derrotar al Dr.M y salir de la boveda para reunirse con sus compañeros, solo que no los encuentra, revisando la señal de los rastreadores ve que sus amigos se han reunido en un punto de la isla por lo que va a buscarles, llega casi al borde de un barranco sin ver a nadie, pero de pronto escucha a alguien tras el y cuando se da la vuelta recibe un disparo en el estomago y cae por el precipicio hacia el mar, debido a que su gang y Carmelita tenian otros planes y ya no le necesitaban, lo que necesitaban era que le abriera la bóveda.

Sly habia sobrevido a disparo a traicion de Carmelita y a la brutal caida, hubiera muerto si no hubiera sido encontrado por un barco pesquero que estaba por la zona, cuando sano de sus heridas regreso a la Isla Kaine, solo para descubrir que la Boveda de los Cooper habia sido completamente saqueada, lo unico que hallo fueron las armas pertenecientes a sus antepasados, lleno de rabia ante la traicion de sus compañeros, Sly jura que el Clan Cooper cobrara venganza

A partir de entonces Sly Cooper toma un rumbo mas siniestro, ahora trabaja solo, se ha vuelto mucho mas agresivo en sus robos incluyendo ataques contra la policia para enfrentar a su ex- grupo y a Carmelita Montoya Fox que uso su parte del oro para apoderarse de la Interpool
