Twelve year old Eric Fonton, a Borrower from the Chicken Soup tribe was walking along one day not paying much attention... And that's when Lacy spotted him and subsequently captured him. She couldn't believe her luck just turning seven the day before.. It was like a second birthday present she reasoned.
None of the Borrowers saw the abduction take place so they never knew where to look for him.. Just another missing in action Borrower with two sad parents.
A month later Eric was feeling extremely home-sick and felt the need to continually voice his wish for freedom... But Lacy had no intentions of letting this amazing pet go and had to eventually resort to disciplining him for such annoyances. And it looked like today was going to be a tough day for him too if he kept his whining up Lacy reasoned.

If I was him I'd start trying to find ways to please her. You know how scary 7 year old girls can be when they don't get what they want.
