Bristol Comic Expo Result :)Hey guys...
more or less back from Bristol Comic Expo but not really recovered... got a lovely bout of the con-crud (which always seems to happen to me!) so I'm feeling rather rough around the edges and have loooads of work to catch up on.. that coupled with my just noticing that todays my last day of my subby may mean I'm not online much for a little while!! o.O
The grand total we managed to raise through :icondrawtheworldtogether: for the make-a-wish foundation isssss *drumroll pleas*
Many thanks to everyone who helped out and contributed!
PS: anyone know if there's any way of posting a journal into a group (ie, dtwt) too? instead of copying and posting it twice? o.O
....mm.. nm... just "submitted it to group" ... not sure that's quite what I wanted but it'll do for now. x.X
Draw the World Together encourages & supports artists in using their skills to help raise money for charitable organisations.
The amount we've raised for Charity to date is over £22,200! (that's over $34,000 USD!)
We have done this by sketching at shows, holding auctions, selling prints and by taking private commissions too.
If you have had a sketch done by a DtWT artist feel free to post it and request to have it added here!
Please do not submit artwork which is nothing to do with DtWT events or raising money for charity, we cannot accept unrelated artwork here!
If you have an idea for a fund raiser event please get in touch. However if you just want to hang around and see what we get up to then by all means join up!
To find out more about our project check out our homepage.
Plugging our group and inviting your friends will help spread the word
ONLY ARTWORK RELEVANT TO THE DRAW THE WORLD TOGETHER PROJECT MAY BE POSTED HERE! (i.e. sketches by our artists, photos of events, competition entries etc)
"My name is Pete Jarvis. I am doodler, web developer and graphic designer living in Doncaster, England. I am a long time suffer of depression ("Depressed Donny Doodler" for short!) which has lead me to this point in my life.
My doodling had helped me deal with my depression on a daily basis and, because I understand what it is like to suffer from an early age, I will be raising money for an extremely worth while cause: Young Minds. A charity which centres on the mental wellbeing of young people.
You can find out more here: www.youngminds.org.uk
or donate here: www.justgiving.com/monkeysinmy…
Any donations are appreciated and will go to an extremely worthwhile cause.
Thank you in advance from a very happy monkey.
