Duskstar's Contemplation by drawingwolf17 Duskstar's Contemplation by drawingwolf17
I thought it was about time I gave a bit of information about my character Duskstar. As for the drawing, I think she looks nice but the background is lacking... I need work on that. Anyway, here's a bit of Duskstar's story!

The cool wind blew through Duskfur’s coat as she slowly made her way to the Moonstone. Fears and concerns flooded her mind with every step she took. DarkClan’s best and most brilliant leader Nightstar had lost his final life in a battle against SnowClan only a few days ago. He had served his clan famously for many long years with his mate Mistshine beside him. Nightstar had been a fair leader to DarkClan and a terrifying threat to all who opposed. He was easily one of the best leaders the forest had ever seen. How could Duskfur succeed her father?
Duskfur continued on her journey one step at a time, never looking back. As the sun began to set, the mountainous cavern which held the moonstone came into view. It all seemed so massive to Duskfur who had never travelled this far away from camp alone. She would have asked her brother Oakclaw to accompany her but she realized that he would be needed in camp while she was gone. Once she reached the entrance of the cavern, she noticed that it was still too early for her to receive her nine lives and new name. She sat outside the mouth of the cavern on the gravel and waited with nothing but her own thoughts to pass the time.
A good portion of DarkClan already doubted whether she was capable of being their new leader. DarkClan was right. She was too care-free and talkative to rival the stoic, natural born leader that Nightstar was. After all, she had barely been the clan deputy for half of a moon. A single tear fell down her face and onto her paws. If only she had done something in the battle against SnowClan! She was there! She could have prevented her father’s death. She could have done… anything.
But now was not the time to mourn the death of her father. Now was the time to be there for her clan. She could never replace Nightstar but she could at least be there for her cats when they needed her most. Duskfur closed her eyes, took a deep breath and walked into the cavern. Duskfur was gone. Now she was Duskstar and she had a clan to lead.

Maybe I'll do something else about Duskstar, Nightstar and Oakclaw in the future.
Warriors and all media relating to Warriors belongs to Erin Hunter. Duskstar belongs to me.

Wow! Amazing story! It really makes you think into the mind of Duskstar, and her worries. Also, I really like the drawing of Duskstar! The lines are so thin, and sharp!

Thanks! I've been thinking of doing more stories and drawings like this in the future.
