Please read all of these group rules BEFORE submitting to #Drawers-Life. We decline submissions that do not adhere to our group rules.

:iconalertplz:NOTICE!!! As of Jan/2019 - Drawers-Life Group is NOW a TRADITIONAL ART ONLY GROUP! We have announced this change in past group notices but members are still submitting their digital artwork. There are tons of digital art groups on DA and you can check them out if you are not a traditional artist. Thanks for your understanding on this rule. To see accepted media and suggestions for getting your work into our gallery, please read on...

:icongalleryplz:SUBMITTING ARTWORK: ~ TO SUBMIT, Please follow these steps:

On the top of the page, click on the "GALLERY", and find the logical folder and subfolder for your work, and click on the " + " sign to submit it there!!! Do not submit to any old folder, or your work will be declined.

:iconhappyfellaavatar: Our submissions limit is now 1 submission per month.

VOTING SYSTEM: :icontwoplz:VOTES DECIDE!

:bulletyellow:Each submission is subject to a vote. A submission needs 2 positive votes to be accepted into the group. This means even though you were ultimately declined, there were probably some votes for your acceptance as well. We have people who all have different tastes, specializations, and aesthetics. On top of this there are rules in which your submission must fall into. Your chances of a successfully accepted submission are much greater if you follow the group submission rules below.
:bulletyellow: Please look through our gallery and familiarize yourself with the types of artwork that gets accepted into our group. Notice the selection of folders and sub-folders and please read the descriptions of what type of art goes in each folder BEFORE submitting artwork to our group.  NOTE: Drawers Life Group has become a traditional art only group.
:star:REMINDER!!  Almost ALL artwork that is declined is for:
1. Submission to the wrong folder, or
2. Bad Documentation  ~ Read all the rules below CAREFULLY!:

:iconacceptplz: We DO ACCEPT the following:

:bulletgreen: Any hand Drawn/painted work that is clean, quality work with an overall nice composition. We are looking for your best work!
:bulletgreen: We DO accept paintings, IF they were originally formed or developed from drawing. We NO LONGER accept digital art of any kind. All submissions must be work that you draw or paint yourself, using traditional media, such as graphite pencils, colored pencils, color markers, all inks, Charcoal and pastel, Mixed Media Works, Oil Paintings and Acrylic artworks, gauche, watercolor paint and natural watercolor substitutes, like tea or coffee.
We do not accept computer generated artworks, movies and videos, literature, photography or photo manipulations. If you are unsure about a particular media and if it will be accepted, please contact our group BEFORE you submit your work or it may be declined. Exceptions are: regular editing of the scan / photo (adjusting brightness, contrast, sharpness, cropping, adding watermarks).

:bulletgreen: Your submissions should have a title and a brief description of materials used. This will help us to determine if your artwork is in the correct folder and that you used acceptable media. This will help your submission to get accepted quicker.

:bulletgreen: We ARE accepting "how to" ART videos that actually show how to create traditional art. We would prefer these to be instructive and well produced rather than just speed paintings, but we do accept those as well. All video acceptance is done on a case by case basis and submission into our "How To" folder in our gallery is up to our Senior Staff as to whether they feel the video is instructive and helpful to our members. The standards for these instructional video submissions will be higher than our traditional art gallery submissions.

:iconrejectplz: We DO NOT ACCEPT the following

:bulletred: Digital art, Photography, Photo-manipulations, films and animation, sculpture, crafts, jewelry or literature. This is a group for DRAWING and painting.
:bulletred: In addition, Figure Studies, SKETCHES, and SIMPLE LINE ART will NOT be accepted. These are all considered practice work or unfinished.
:bulletred: No works in progress (WIP’s), deviant ID’s, ICONS, or deviations found in your scraps will be accepted. If you do not want to feature your own work in your gallery, why should #Drawers-Life feature it here?
All submissions must be clean, clear, and striking. No drawings on lined paper will be accepted.
:bulletred:NOTE: All artworks that are accepted into Drawers Life's Gallery MUST NOT be in storage. Any artworks found to be in storage at any time, will be immediately removed from the gallery-permanently.

:iconotlplz:
IMPORTANT! Definition of Bad Documentation and Folder Instructions
:bulletblue:Bad scans and photos will NOT be accepted. There should be NO walls, sketchbooks, tables, materials etc. visible in a photo of a drawing. If you must take a photo make sure you have good lighting and that no shadows fall on the drawing.
:bulletblue: Blurry/Grainy work will not be accepted. Treat the group gallery as if it were a real one, only your BEST work will be accepted.
:bulletblue:Please submit your artwork to the correct sub-folder of the correct category. Each folder has a description detailing what artworks should be placed within it. Please read the folder descriptions BEFORE submitting your work into one. If you are unsure which folder to submit your work into, please ask in a note to the group.
:bulletblue:Please do not feel discouraged if your submission is declined. We are simply trying to keep inbox flood to a minimum as well as keep the gallery at its best.

I am guessing that traditionally drawn pieces that have been colored digitally are not acceptable, correct? Only 100% traditional.
