Follows a Couple of Months After:

There's a tldr summary of the story below~ The sun was high in the sky, a couple of lazy clouds hung around, not even a breeze to move them. It was as warm as the day was going to allow. With the seating outside and the sun on their backs, it was quite a pleasant day for winter in Texas. A distant call of a horse that frolicked from the pasture to the barn seemed to signal the events.
Wadash, to oversee and ordain the wedding, spoke up from the podium, "Good afternoon, folks! For all those viewin' this fine weddin', I'll ask you kindly take a seat. We ain't discriminatin' family today, feel free to pick either side. If y'all find a seat, we'll get started. I have a feelin' there's a certain beautiful lady that's eager to have y'all here."
On cue, the very first man to take a step near the seating was Anson, one of the many Brannon brothers. He took the first strum on an acoustic guitar, making a pleasant hushed tone. He took a seat on a tall stool in the back of the seating and continued to play a pleasant song. The kind one might hear in a tavern, quiet, upbeat, and inviting. Family from both the Brannon and Darcy clans filed in, taking their preferred seats. Some distant from others, some curiously not sat with their loved ones, even William’s own father had claimed he had a migraine bad enough that he wasn’t going to attend, and some were tasked with the duty to make sure the children stayed quiet.
Krissa was the one tasked with sitting with the kids. She kept them further to the back just in case.
Sydney slid in the back behind the line of kids, flicking one in the ear to make them squeal and squirm. He got a grin out of that, ignoring the sharp look from both his mother, Brandy, and the unimpressed stare from Krissa, shushing the child. There was a distinct red line under his eye, a rough look about him, and a heavier brow than usual. A third hard glance from the front row: Guthrie, the second oldest brother, cracking his knuckles that were also red if one were to look real hard. He lowered his hand to his lap, turning back around so long as order was kept.
Seemed every family there had some kind of tension between themselves… William Darcy was called to enter first. This had never been in his plans. Just a year ago things had been quite different. Then, all he was looking forward to was that he would be able to tell
Georgiana that she was his daughter. Now, he walked down the long aisle of the family that was and the family that would be. None of this had been a part of Georgie’s plans either as she also took the long walk down the aisle, feelings still raw and fresh from the bombshell her father, her real father, had dropped on her. It felt that no matter what, she would be judged. Maybe even William. She was a bastard child.
Seemed every family there had some kind of tension between themselves… There was a pause in the music. Anson stood up from his stool and strummed into the song; her song.
Tequila's song. At that, Wadash announced, “For all those that are able, please stand as Miss Tequila Rose Brannon enters this holy ceremony upon these grounds today.”
It felt like she was walking forever, her heels pounding against the ground but she wasn’t getting anywhere. She knew she couldn’t run, she didn’t want to fall now. It was like she forgot how to walk but needed to hurry. She wasn’t going to cry. Not until after they said, “I do.” She promised herself that. But when the first smile she saw was her daddy looking back at her with his arm out for her to take, her lip quivered and she was a little baby girl all over again. He was the first man she ever cried on. He never said much to her when she did. But he always did the same thing:
Buck tucked her forehead to his shoulder, caressing her neck lovingly. He let her gather herself in her own time, a man of little conversation. He knew all her hopes and dreams. He knew the man on the other end of the aisle would never really know how much today really meant to his baby girl. If he was lucky, he’d get to love her as long as Buck would: until the day he died. Once he felt her start to lean back, he gently kissed her forehead and knew she was ready.
The next man she saw was the one she was wanting to call hers. She had her renewed strength. Her father let her come to her own all by herself. She walked down the aisle with all the confidence she always had and would always have. She saw her spark, her hot flames, her inferno looking back at her at the podium.
William did his best to breathe normally but as soon as he saw her, he really had to focus on even a simple task such as that. The missing piece of his puzzle that he never had expected to find. The needle in the haystack. Even if not much showed on the outside, the volcano-like force within him showed in his eyes. The flames and heat were so devastating to those that got on his wrong side, and underneath it, the compassionate and fiercely protective side of him that was unknown to most.
Wadash let the song play out and fade to silence. A beat passed before he addressed everyone there, “Dearly beloved gathered here today to witness this holy ceremony of man and woman, please be seated.” He continued as everyone took their seats again, “On this Earth, God has blessed us with his infinite love. To love each other, to forgive each other, to help, to nurture, to cry, to stifle sufferin’, to console, and to grow stronger together. He gives none of us the same path of glory for we all have to walk our own paths to seek His glory. What we witness today, friends, are these two children of God before us taking each other hand in hand to walk their paths together.”
“Before God,” Wadash gestured with a hand to the groom, “William Leonidas Darcy, please state your vow to this young woman before you.”
William took a deep breath. Despite it all, he had kept her safe. He had kept his unborn son safe. The failure of how he had let Ana down was to be buried today. It was time for a new start. Pemberley would live on. He reached for Tequila’s hand and held it firmly. He met her gaze with his own. She was the one that he let see his heart and soul, something denied to so many. In fear he had made mistakes, he had been scared to admit his feelings but after this moment she would have his heart forever.
“In Genesis, it states, 'Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh.' Because of you Tequila, I can feel myself slowly but surely becoming the me I have always dreamed of being. Today, you become my family, the flesh of my flesh, the blood of my blood, for all time and under God. I, Fitzwilliam Leonidas Darcy, promise to honor you, Tequila Rose Brannon, as my wife for all the days of my life, to be honest, and love with purity of spirit. “
Tequila's smile grew, glancing at the people before them and then back to William. She had no vow thought up. She hadn't taken the time to think of one. She just did what she does best and spoke from her feelings, honest and true to herself. "Will, when we first met, I don't think either one of us really knew what love was. The kind of love that makes us do crazy things for each other. My mama raised me to have this kind of unconditional love but I never knew why. My daddy raised me to protect and cherish those that I love but I never knew why. You're the man that made me understand." She squeezed his hand back, nodding her head slightly, "You are my family, you are my love, you are the one I want to share a life with now and forever. I want our love now and forever."
There were several proud smiles in the crowd to see such maturity come from Tequila. She was always the dumb blond. The girl that slept around and made rash decisions. She stood as a grown ass woman today. A wife and mother-to-be- "I also know how to use a shotgun and there's plenty of holes to be filled out here," she added with a sweet smile.
"Tequila Rose-" Brandy interjected, aghast she would think it was an appropriate time to make such a joke. She rubbed her brow, sinking in her chair slightly, trying to pretend the shame wasn't so embarrassing. "So sorry," she very quietly apologized to William’s mother, on her behalf. That girl was never going to grow up. Tequila shrugged, sharing a grin with her daddy. The chuckles from her brothers too.
Wadash kept himself composed with a soft smile under his bushy beard. He set his hands on the podium, proceeding with the wedding. He slid the velvet boxes forward that had their respective wedding bands in them. "Mr. William Darcy, with that thought weighing heavy on your mind," he stifled a chuckle. "And Miss Tequila Rose, if you would present your rings to each other, a symbol of infinite love and a bond unbroken for all of time, and answer before God and all those who witness today…”
“Do you, William, take Tequila to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and times she loads that shotgun, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself faithful to her for as long as you both shall live?"
There was a nanosecond of hesitation. Just a breath where his focus shifted to the young woman standing close to Tequila. A part of his past would always be here. A part of Ana. William looked into the eyes of his soon-to-be wife and felt his worries melt away. From this day on it wasn't just him. Come what may he wouldn't be alone. He would have her. “I do, with all my heart and soul.”
"Do you, beautiful Tequila Rose, take William to be your lawfully wedded husband? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and times yer gonna put that shotgun aside, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself faithful to him for as long as you both shall live?"
"Of course I do," she almost cut him off. "This is my man," she smiled.
"William and Tequila, having proclaimed your love and commitment to one another in the eyes of these loved ones and in His name, with the power vested in me and the great state of Texas, it gives me great joy to pronounce you husband and wife. Tequila… Kiss your man for us, would you?"

i was going to shorten it but then I remembered
like four people will read this anyway sooo~ Enjoy our love story~
tldr;Tequila and William got married~
Previous: Amongst the Glitter and Gold ||
Next: Mama Don't Mess Around
Oh hey, look, they finally got
officially married. : D
I move at a snail's pace, okay xD She's been pregnant for forever and even though it only took a couple months in the story, it took me over a year to get their wedding put together <''3
BUT TODAY IS THE DAY. Standing the test of time! One crunchy rich man and one mouthy blond lady decided to get hitched!~ This was a small, private gathering of family only. (
there might be a second wedding, stay tuned~)
Proud of our characters here <3 There's a
tooooon of RP that hasn't made it up on dA (might not ever unless one of us makes another book upload lmao) so there's so much behind the scenes character development between these two and those around them. Tequila has matured so much more than I thought she'd be capable of! She's really taken a liking to this whole wife and mother thing - I didn't know she had it in her character!
William, the classic, "Mr. Grump Ass" because of the childhood and young adult trauma brought on by a terrible father figure - ya know, finally finding it pretty nice to have someone who 1) can put up with his attitude and she will bite back if she wants to and 2) someone that has an abundance of nurturing to offer.
So these two bring me a lot of delight to interact with. Especially when things get heated between each other. They have an interesting dynamic. (to me, anyway) William's used to things being absolute perfection. Tequila expects things done right. And sometime perfect and right are not the same thing and they can really get after each other. But it's like a love language to them x'') They know they both are aiming for the same thing and they're both very stubborn; maybe it's surprising but Tequila is usually the first to apologize (mostly because she doesn't have a filter on her mouth when she's mad and has slapped the shit out of him before...)
And even through all that, they still
want to love each other. Even if they don't know that's what they're doing. <''3
As for the art... Well, I upgraded my SAI to SAI 2 a while back just because...heck, I may as well. And it comes with the symmetry rulers and I thought about doing a stained glass look for this wedding anyway soooo it all just kinda came together at the right time! (and then sat collecting dust while dras was being crippled by inner depression, falling behind on everything, but we got through that) Just in time for HEART DAY!
Happy Heart Day
