NOTE: Tuli does not primarily speak English, but may occasionally slip a word or two in; he's learning. I'm not going to provide Tuli's language in his tongue; it will be presented in English. This is because I don't want to provide mis-translations (it's not the point here) and Tuli speaks a language that is very close to what we know as Icelandic but it has slightly different inflections, terms, slang, pronunciations, etc. Sort of like how American, England, and Australian "English" are not quite the same. And I'm not going to invent a whole new language. So, everything is typed in English but Tuli is not speaking English. <3
“See?” Jarin was enthusiastic back on the plane, leaning over to Tuli. “Don’t you like your pretty ribbon we got!?”
Tuli stared down at the pile of silk and glitter. It was…impractical. “Ah…” Apparently, these things were merits for the horse enthusiasts. Rather than lining the perimeter with heads on stakes to declare a victory, this culture made these silk flaps to prove the hardships they conquered. “Yaaa…” Tuli tried to make it sound believable. It wasn’t completely disappointing. He just didn’t know what to do with it. He started to hand it back to Jarin if he thought they were so great.
“Nooo, you keep it! It’s our first ribbon together! We…well, you did so good!” Jarin encouraged him, shoving the ribbon back firmly. He would keep it and he would love it. “We’re going to be winning so many more! We’re going to make so much money for the stable, maybe they’ll even name the castle after us!” Jarin was practically vibrating in his seat with so much hype.
Tuli was more or less just along for the ride (literally) but sure, he’d make the contributions for now. Blend in until he had more information. He may never return to the castle if Iceland really was something it was or would be… he still didn’t know where or when he was after coming through that portal. Ireland wasn’t familiar. Now, they were on the way to Sweden. One more stop until Iceland. Tuli sighed, “I miss the castle.”
“Hang in there, Tuli! We’ll be home again in no time! With new skills and new ideas!” Jarin had it all laid out in his mind! Maybe it was just Abe and Riggy for now, but soon, Jarin would have an army of trick-riding horses! Who needed Haute Ecole alone when he was planning a full-blown circus!?
“Yaaa,” Tuli flatly agreed again. He didn’t honestly miss the castle because it was the castle. He missed the wealth of magic there all to himself. This world he was in was so desolate. It was one thing for his kind to go mad with magic but how did these creatures here live so blissfully unaware of the world they never knew?
“A magician?” Tuli looked at the translator one more time. He raised a brow at Jarin, mentally making a note of the nearest, sharpest object just in case he had to end Jarin’s life in an instant.
“Yea!” Jarin cheered. “We gotta dress up! It’s, uh, like…playing pretend. We make believe. You and Riggy will pretend to be the magicians! Abe and I will be the rabbits you pull out of a hat!”
Tuli squinted at the words, looking between what Jarin had said and the man himself… “Rabbits?” What in the actual twisted world was this that magic meant pulling rabbits out of hats??? Teleportation? Conjuring? What magic even did this?? So did he actually know of magic? Tuli was so confused and uneasy.
“It’s all just for fun! Look…” Jarin, instead, opted to show Tuli some videos of “magic acts”. The quarter behind the ear trick, pulling rags from empty hands, swallowing swords, cutting people in half, the classics, including some old grainy videos of the man pulling a rabbit from a hat. How did it get there?
Tuli tipped his head, keeping a raised brow. Intriguing. He found the videos quite humorous, getting a chuckle out of some of them. Look at them. Bound to a world without heaps magic and yet, still, somehow performing acts with such hand precision and flair that really looked legitimate.
Jarin smiled, seeing Tuli find something that genuinely entertained him. Tuli was a hard one to really comprehend. He was so quiet and didn’t share much about himself. Shy, Jarin thought. (nope) But if he was game to keep trying these wacky ideas Jarin had, he would surely open up over time! “So, what do you think? Wanna give it a go?”
Tuli handed Jarin his phone back, still giggling at the man “repairing” a torn tissue that was never torn to begin with. Quality entertainment even if just clever tricks. Tuli was greatly amused. “Ya, ya, magic man. I’m the one for that.” He was already scheming ways to slip his own magic into the acts. Just to give it that special something and yet still go unnoticed. Give the poor creatures something to make their eyes sparkle but not raise suspicion in their minds.
Landing in Sweden with a plan of action, Tuli stepped aside with the Beaurevers, Abe and Riggy. They all agreed that the magic in the area was low but there was a faint feel that there was a well somewhat nearby. Not a huge pool of magic like at the castle but there was something around they could pull from. An improvement from Ireland. They all agreed Tuli would handle the magical aspects to keep it on the down low. They didn’t need to split the earth asunder and raise the dead. Overkill…or over…raising the dead…??
“I have friends here I’m super excited to show our performance to as well!” Jarin could hardly stand still, his bunny ears flopping around with his raised energy levels. Abe and Riggy both nickered in response, donning their simple outfits for the show. Riggy bumped Abe’s side with his nose, pawing a hoof at him. In response, Abe bounding on the front and did a playful little rear, not getting but a couple inches off the ground but enough to show he got the idea of the routine.
“Shh,” Tuli reprimanded the Beaurevers playing about. Not yet. And they needed to calm down with chatting it up with Jarin. For one, Jarin couldn’t understand a thing they were saying to him, that was obvious. And another, he wanted to keep that fact withheld. Imagine Jarin actually finding out there was magic to let him communicate to his Beaurevers. It was simple magic from where Tuli came from, almost basic, but here they believed picking out specific playing cards and YoYos were magic.
“Oh, uh,” Tuli realized Jarin was wondering why Tuli asked him to be quiet, not knowing he was talking to the horses. “Shhhhh~” Tuli raised his weird “magic stick” (a wand) and pretended to cast a spell on Jarin. Jarin laughed with glee. This was going to be great!
Tuli learned quickly that maybe there was some magic to Jarin. The enthusiasm that poured out of him bled right into Abe and Riggy. It was like manhandling overgrown toddlers to get them to behave. And then the fight over the magic began. Tuli was in charge of the effects. But nooooo, once they all got overhyped, Abe began to make mentions that he could glow! And make glowing orbs! That would be fun!
Wait, Tuli advised. He would handle it.
Riggy wanted in on the action too! He didn’t know about these glowing orbs! That was a thing!?
Stop, Tuli demanded.
Abe flopped about, spawning not one or two blobs of light but several illuminating all around them!
Don’t! Tuli worked hard trying to rein them in.
Me too! Riggy tried his best to copy his father’s magic!
By the time it was Tuli’s turn to “add in the effects” all he could manage was straining out one sad little puff of smoke from his sad little wand. The horses stole all the magic! Sucked the small puddle dry, leaving Tuli to lick up the mud left behind. So much for a magic man. Well, at least everyone else had fun.

Happy Spooky Season-Ween~
I love spooky season so much <3 I'm so sad it's all over now :''D I could live in perpetual October <''3
Anywho, the gang has landed in Sweden! One step closer to Iceland! They made a pitstop to Ween, a show I'd never miss <3 (okay, maybe sometime I will but not intentionally!) I originally thought to do something a little more serious but this gang is not ready for that yet lololol
For anyone thinking Tuli might be a stick in the mud, he likes fun too! He was all for dressing in a silly costume to amuse the masses. Until the horses stole the show from him xD Over there wheezing for a sad "pffft" of anticlimactic puff of smoke xD He tried.
Jarin is just out here living his best life ngl He usually always does at Ween show! He can't wait to show Miyo and Elias his "buddy", Tuli and his plans to be some travelling circus show~ Look at Jarin, being a big kid with all the dreams and aspirations~ Happy for him <3

As exasperating as Jarin may be, his and Tuli's chaos mesh pretty well xD Elias would have been fascinated to encounter this funny fellow (though probably even more fascinated by however Jarin would choose to introduce and explain him lol)
