(Tequila POV) and
(Chris POV) There's a tldr safe summary of the story below~
Trigger warnings: lots of swearing (it's fang...), some petty violence, talks of child abuse/neglect, all around angry feels
A security camera had been hit with a rock. One security guard had his face battered from an elbow and knee to the face and head. One gun had been stolen from him. Multiple horses had been let out of their stalls. One small fire had been started. One bullet had been fired. There was a stampede of horses that took the land of Pemberley Park in a panic. A few horses had fallen and trampled in the chaos, sustaining minor injuries, one horse sustained significant tendon damage. Several horses had cuts and abrasions from the environment caused by jumping over gates or ditches or getting into other equipment not intended for horses. No casualties.
The antagonist, "Fang Blade", was apprehended after a brief holdout with a gun pointed first at the security team, then at himself, and then lowered. Culprit was immediately hit with a stun gun and brought into custody awaiting further instruction from head of security, Christopher Durant.
Fang glared at the stall wall, shifting in the handcuffs. He didn’t have any remorse for his actions. In fact, if he hadn’t been so pissed off, maybe he would have planned an even better strike. His glare hardened, hearing a distinct sound of heels coming down the aisle. He ruffled into a snarl, hearing her voice.
"You think I'm afraid of him? Open the damn door," Tequila demanded. She stepped into the stall and stared daggers down at one mangy bastard giving her the exact same glare back. He had hardly changed since she had last seen him years ago.
"Hey, slut," Fang spat at her.
"I found Bart."
“You found…who?” Tequila had asked quietly on their way back after hearing the news her barn and horses had been under assault.
“Your brother,” Durant reiterated.
Bart. Bart Brannon. The memories of her youngest brother came back like a tidal wave. He brought that maniac to her barn? He was full of nothing but hate and anger! She didn’t care what Durant was spouting on about a second chance of whatever. Tequila was absolutely furious. She could have shot lasers from her eyes. "Do not ever hide shit about my family from me ever again. Ever." And that was a firm, final warning.
"You know,” She continued sharply, “maybe when someone ditches their whole family and no one goes looking for him, there's a fucking reason why," she lectured. "He hates us. He's never liked our family. He's always been this way! And I could have told you that if you bothered to ask. He's not nice, Durant and he especially hates me. No shit he took it all out on my horses! Ugh!"
Fang’s blood was boiling. He didn't give a fuck who put their dick in his sister. Every man on the planet had a go with her. What had him white-knuckled was Christofucker Durant. He fucking knew. He knew who Fang was, he knew his family, he fucking knew she was here, he knew Chris Burton was here, and did he ever once fucking say anything? No. They were both fucking with him. Take his drugs away. Get his ex here. Surround him with stupid fucking horses. Gate him in like a dumb dog. Fang could take a beating when he deserved one but he wouldn't tolerate getting fucked with. They fucked with the wrong bastard.
"You are such a brat!" She stepped closer, reeling a hand back to slap the stupid off his face.
Fang just had to lean a little to the side and kicked her ankle out from under her and she fell to her knees. "Fuck off, no one fucking asked you."
"Ow!" Tequila really wasn't all that hurt but it was in her favor to pretend. She yanked off her heel, brandishing it by its strap and whacked it over his head!
"Hey! Ow!" Fang hunkered, unable to bring his arms up to shield his face from the shoe slapping. "Knock it the fuck off, bitch!" He kicked out at her blindly. "Fucking assault!"
"You don't come to my house and hurt my horses, asshole!" She made damn clear.
Fang flopped over into his side and landed a kick on her thigh, shoving both of them apart. "I didn't ask to fucking be here!" He shouted over his shoulder, working to get sat up again.
"Then why don't you fucking leave!? That's what you like to do, isn't it!? You hate it here? Fucking leave! You hate me? Then leave me alone!" Tequila shrieked back. Deep scars were being dug into all over again. "But you don't take it out on the people around me!" She hurled her shoe at him with a huff. "What the fuck is wrong with you!?"
"Me!? Please," Fang growled. "I know what you're fucking like. Get your fuck buddy over there,” Durant was not left out of this, “to act like some fucking white knight and your fucking piece of shit God to shed his light down on me, oooh to fix me. And then what? Gloat to everyone you know how fucking great you are. Like I'm a fucking pet! None of you give a fuck about me!"
"You are so wrong," Tequila used a warning tone. She had another shoe. "I would never let you be here after everything you said and did to Mama."
"That bitch felt the same-" Fang ducked again, taking another shoe bouncing off him after its sharp heel jabbed him.
"Don't talk about Mama like that! She didn't have to take you back! You're so ungrateful!"
"I didn't ask for that either…" Fang growled. He had enough of her shouting at him and throwing shit. She was poking at a landmine ready to detonate.
Tequila was done anyway. She was out of shoes and out of composure. The angry tears were back as she got to her feet and half-assed dusted her dress off. "You deal with him," her voice wavered.
Fang was still looking like a coiled viper, shifting his hateful glare to Durant. "Yea, fucking deal with me," he dared him. He scooched across the floor so he could shimmy up the wall to get sat up. "Whatever the fuck she wants, right?" Durant has seen that look all too many times. Broken trust. Fang had broken the trust in Durant and Durant had broken the trust in Fang.
Durant didn't say the words, but he was disappointed. The glare was met without fear. There was little use to say what he really wanted to say. That was what everybody said. If you constantly got to hear what a disappointment you were, what motivation did you get to be anything but a disappointment? It wasn't what Fang had to hear.
"I'm not mad at you," Tequila assured Durant, further down the barn aisle to explain just what had happened to this family. "I'm just so sick and tired of all the secrets," she sighed. "Look, I-" she sighed, taking a moment to reconsider anything before she committed to saying it.
"He didn't always live with us on the ranch. Bart. Or whatever he’s callin’ himself now. My Uncle Jo," the uncle no one talks about, "and Aunt Emily weren't havin' any luck gettin' a baby. Aunt Em just couldn't get pregnant. Mama loved her brother Jo so much she said she'd get them a baby. Daddy agreed because he loves Mama, he'd do anything for her. So Bart is my brother but he was always supposed to go to Uncle Jo and Aunt Em as their baby. As soon as he was off the tit, Bart lived with Jo and Em. But then shit fell apart, I dunno, exactly…" she shook her head.
"I guess it was worse than we really knew. We didn't see much of Bart even when Mama asked to see how he was doing. I don't think Em ever really loved Bart…not bein' hers, really. That's what Mama thinks. We never saw him. Not once. Not until after Jo and Em got divorced. God…" she shook her head, feeling the pity. "Neither of them wanted to take custody of him. So Mama took him back. He was six or seven? But he looked so much older. Dirty, skinny like no one fed him, we had to cut his hair just to get the fleas and lice off him. He had bruises all over. I asked him if Jo or Em did that to him but he said no. But how could it be anyone else? He just… they had made him so mean. He didn't get along with any of us. Always fightin', always lookin' for a fight. And you know my brothers. They don't tolerate that shit. They were all always fightin'. I fought too, I ain't innocent. We didn't get along neither."
"And it hurt my Mama. She tried everything, bless her heart. You know, that was her baby thinkin' his Mama didn't love him when it was her all along. Took her years to get him to understand Em wasn't his Mama, she didn’t want him to know different than the truth. But I think that just fucked with his head more. Like now he had two sets of parents that didn't love him. Eventually, he and Mama started fightin' too. You know how strict she is."
"We all should have handled it better. The day he left us. It was just Mama, me, and Bart. He was like...fifteen or sixteen, I don't know. I don't even remember what we were workin' on but Bart said somethin' that set Mama off. She cracked his knuckles with a spoon. He knew he shouldn't say those hateful things. He said it again and warned her not to hit him again. But you know Mama, she whopped him again like she would to any of us. And then he just- He attacked her! I-I tried to push him away and he even punched me. He just fuckin’ snapped. I ran to go get Daddy and my brothers and- it was bad, sugar. There was so much shouting and crashin’ around. Sydney threw him outside and I know they were still fightin’, no way it was a fair fight but at the time, I was tryin’ to sit Mama up so she didn't choke on her own blood from her busted lips and broken nose. We were so scared."
"He shouted he was never our family, fuck our family, that we suffocated him and that he'd burn everything down. He never did, of course. But we never saw him again. He didn't take anything with him, he didn't say where he was going, he didn't say for how long. Just gone. And… we didn't look neither,” she admitted solemnly. “Mama was so lost. She didn't talk for a long time. That's when my oldest brother, Brody and Guthrie had their wives, Brooke and Charo move their families back into the house so she had company. So she wouldn't be alone if he came back."
"It was probably six or seven months later, Brody made an attempt to find him but…well, Brody is a sweet brother but he ain't brighter than any of the rest of us. None of us even knew how to find someone that didn't even use their God-given name anymore. He was gone. He moved on, so did we."
She took a deep breath, lifting that weight off her chest. "Seein' him after he did all that to my horses… I just… it really took me back. I can't trust him. He put hands on my Mama like that… maybe you can see past shit like that but I don't want him anywhere near my baby, my husband, my daughter, my house, my horses, none of it. I don’t even want him near you. I know you're tryin' to help but I ain't ready to be that kind of person. You promise me he's not stepping foot anywhere near the house ever again. I am all for him gettin' the help he needs but it ain't comin' from me. Okay? If one day he wants to be my baby brother again…" she shook her head, not sure if she was ready to consider that thought.

SURPRISE.
FINALLY.
I can reveal who Fang is >:"""D
Spoilers if you don't like reading and just skim for info: Fang is Bart Brannon. The last/youngest of the Brannon Brothers.
So YES, follow the string with me: he is the little brother of Tequila AND Sydney : D How fun is that?
So the family he's always bad-mouthing: Tequila's and Sydney's. The horses he hates: Tequila's and Sydney's (and all the other brothers too - there's eight siblings total
The family he ran away from: Tequila's and Sydney's.
Fang is one fucked up individual.
Fang is also a Texas-made boy x''D
Maybe more about him starts to make more sense now...
People who have already figured out Fang's identity:
Dave Burton - why he mentioned "Bart" in this piece: Who's Your Daddy
Christopher Durant
Tequila Darcy
(technically Sydney might recognize him but maybe not)
People who have no fucking clue yet:
Christopher Burton >:3
and everyone else lololol
As for the art:
So in the RP with Durant, I was giving info that Durant would find on the kiddo if he searched for his name. Hence the plethora of missing info because he was family hopping. One of the earliest mentions was his birth announcement and then this article about the Brannon Ranch hosting an event where Bart Brannon was mentioned and pictured <''3 Little Fang -sobs- This was around the time they got him back from Jo and Em and he was in rough shape. So Brandy got him all dolled up and they're trying to include him in family activities.
But that kiddo...he's had a rough upbringing. He's not happy. He doesn't want to be there. So young and already so angry.
And oh hey, look, Krissa and Sydney before he proposed to her <''3 Very much the sweethearts - Krissa's not really into the horse thing but she was the driving force to direct the charity towards the school - she goes off to college to become a teacher soon <''3
And Tequila using one of Justin's horses for the show: AKA: this was the timeframe he was trying to woo her~
