Vestra Tiger Design

The Vestra Tiger is a large terrestrial feline who's native habitat is the Kingdom of Cecil on the continent of Aubresha. They hunt mostly within the bounds of the kingdom's giant redwood forests and mountains. Due to how these creatures hunt, they mostly remain in the forests of Cecil, but can be found to have spread to other mountain ranges on Aubresha. The subspecies found outside of the forest have found a slight color change to their coat to help them better hunt in their mountain habitats. For the most part, this creature is dangerous enough that it takes groups of people to hunt one alone. Though this is due to the tactics the beast employs while hunting.

The Vestra Tiger hunts alone in most cases, but any and all should be extremely cautious if they ever come across a mated pair. They are theorized to mate for life and quite vengeful if their mate is killed. How a Vestra Tiger hunts is by clinging to the side of the giant redwood trees or rocky crags. Once a target comes within their hunting radius they will pounce on their unsuspecting prey. The force of the pounce is likely to kill many in one go, but for those it doesn't, the tiger will us its powerful claws, tusks, and saber-teeth to rend its prey apart. Once its prey is killed, it will carry its meal back to its den to eat, or to an upper bow of the tree it leapt from to devour its prey.

Most adult specimens have been found to be around ten feet to the shoulder and a body length between twenty-five and thirty feet. They have two saber like canines and two large tusks. Its powerful tail is used to help hold itself in its hunting position. While each front paw has six "fingers" with powerful claws to keep it in place. Most researchers are unsure what purpose the crest on the head serves, perhaps mating display?

These creatures are ambush predators and those who travel the roads of Cecil unprepared may lose more than one or two companions. This harsh fact was learned by the people of Cecil when their kingdom first began to flourish. But over the years, the elves of the kingdom have found that a specific herb blend acts as a repellent for the Vestra Tiger. This blend is used and burned as an incense at their cities boarders and along some major roads. But if the incense were to run out, the matter of replacing it can be perilous along. Be wary.
