Description

Sometimes the ghosts of one's past will haunt them to the day of their passing. But... it doesn't have to be that way. If one were to face those ghosts and make reparations. Perhaps then the haunting of the what if's and why's will finally stop. Perhaps... facing those ghosts will give you strength to not only continue on living for yourself, but for their memories and those you hold most dear.

Sixteenth day of my 30 day art challenge, today's word was Return. Here we have my character, the shade, Drake Adder who had stayed away from his home for years after it was destroyed, but when one mission caused him to return there, he faced his past and the ghosts and doubts that haunted it. Here, we see Drake at the Memorial Wall where every Dragon Slayer's name of his home who died on dragon hunts were inscribed. Along... with the names of his dead family members, childhood friends, and ancestors. I tried to go a little deeper with this piece emotionally and metaphorically. Even adding some metaphorical ghosts/silhouettes to the piece as well. I think it turned out well overall though. Anyway, see you all in the comments :D (Big Grin)
