If this meant something to me I'd totally get it as a tattoo. But I don't have any feelings about this picture other than I like how it turned out.

The pinkish bit is iridescent ink so depending which way the light hits it reflects the colour here or silver. Just that's kind of hard to translate into a digital image.

Acrylic inks.
ps. prints available on my redbubble account ^^ www.redbubble.com/people/drakh… y'know, just sayin' ;)

I don't comment much (not least because by the time I get there, anything I could say has already been said), but I really love your work. As well as having a really great style of art, your pieces always seem to drip with atmosphere.

Then thank you for making an exception and passing comment on this :)  I appreciate the remark - I try to get some sort of atmosphere or at least a 'feeling' into my pictures, otherwise they just end up feeling a bit dead on the page.

Thanks! I added a little bit of watercolour to it (I've got a better selection of colours), it seemed to work ^^

Oh my! I can see the curved effects of the shadows gives it movement and the sinister aspect =D And of course, the bright of the eye gives it a realistic effect and volume! Really appreciable!

To me the flowing shadows were what really made this. It's so much fun using ink for such effects :)

Ink then? I would like to give it a try ^^ But lastly I'm ummm... learning more for manga-anime drawings =) About ink... Do you display the liquid or you move it with a brush?

It depends what I want to achieve.  For controlled lines I prefer to use dip ink (eg. Deleter ink no.1) with a dip pen like a g-nib (this sort of thing: www.dinkybox.co.uk/Deleter-Nib…). For free-flowing lines like the shadows on the eye and large dark areas I used FW Acrylic ink with a brush - just put a drop or two on the paper then used the brush to spread it along to create the lines.  (if that makes any sense).
