Why does this also give me a Yoshitaka Amano vibe? It's just the way you painted the textures and shades from the acrylics. The dragon is emphasized a lot from the dark cool colors that make it pop out in the foreground. The brightest colors make it clear that I'm looking at the background. I also love the fact that the orb embodied in the dragon emits very little light, reinforcing the foreground even more. That's why I love this painting.

Outstanding. Out of interest, is that pink sphere part of the dragon?

Well originally it was going to be an eye as I was going through a phase of featuring them in paintings... but then I changed my mind so it's some sort of mystic orb or jewel or something. As for whether it's actually a part of the dragon, well I leave that to the viewer to interpret as they see fit :)

Aw thank you :) I love the results digital art gives... but it just doesn't compare to the experience of creating with traditional media.
