Description
Fireworks previews for the NE1 show during National day rehearsals. After many years of shooting the fireworks with the constant that the launch platforms are roughly situated in the centre of the bay. It is quite surprising that I've not shot from this location.
It is understandable since it requires standing in the large crowds as well as being relatively near to the fireworks so using a fisheye was critical to get everything going on around.
I dislike uncertain variables when I am doing my work as you can only plan so much and all it takes is a errant persons with a selfie stick to stand right in front of you to derail your perfect plans and add a few more hours to your processing time.
Needless to say... I'm going to find locations at the front of the crowd tomorrow..

Great capture! Im not even a photographer. Im a non confrontational very nice person also but im completely fed up with the selfie stick people! ive taken to elbowing are shoulder plowing the narcissistic, rude, oblivious self selfie stick carrying millennial's as im sick of them expecting me to move around them whilst the make the most unimportant crap for whatever it is their planning on doing with that useless footage of them on a sidewalk!
Selfie stick people and absent minded millennials and others, Live your life in the moment, when your paying attention to trying to film the moment, your not being present in the moment and are therefore missing the moment!
