It is that time of the year again! As the winds grow colder and the leaves start to fall, it is obvious that fall has come to Vanaheim. All sorts of interesting things are happening around these parts. Everyone is preparing for the upcoming festivities. What's the worst that could happen?
Drakes do not have to registered to partake. As long as import image has been posted you are good to go!
• WHODUNIT?•
Darkness falls across the land, you hear shouts from the town and a horse thunders past you, celebrating its release!
Wasn’t that… a Vanaheim horse? Quick! Chase it down, but… how did it get loose in the first place?
Depict your Drake and their handler completing the following challenges:- Challenge 1: Draw or write your horse and handler chasing down a rogue group horse!
- Challenge 2: Draw or write your horse and handler finding strange animal prints!
- Challenge 3: Draw or write your horse and handler following the tracks into the forest - wow, it certainly leaves behind lots of shiny things!
The goal is to find out who the unknown culprit is. All entries will be rolled for clues!(loot). You are welcome to do more additional entries, so long as these main images are finished. Limit 10 entries per person. Every roll has the potential to give you a bit more information about the mystery creature!
What group horse(s) you choose to use are up to you! All of the group horses can be found here.ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Setting: DUSK/NIGHT. Outskirts of Vanaheim, Vanaheim Grounds, surrounding forest.
- All images must be colored full bodies with backgrounds.
- Image must show 70% or more of the horse; no headshots, hoof-shots, silhouettes or anything like that. We do take into account composition (ex. Horses overlapping), but most of the horse must be shown.
- A full background is required. No gradients, simple shapes, colors, or transparent backgrounds.
- Handlers/Riders are optional.
- All literature entries must be a minimum of 800 words
- Must be relatively free of standard grammatical errors (spelling, basic punctuation, etc).
- All entries must have the following in the description and/or title:
- Name of event and/or a link to this journal
- What Challenge you are on - For those having extra images, please use "Challenge X: Extra"
- Name of horse and link to either their registration image OR their import/export sheet
- Familiars applied (only if they have any applied)

WHODUNIT? - PRIZES:
The mysterious tracks have lead you into a forest clearing. Two bundles of fur tumble in the distance. Moonlight glints off of something metalic: coin.. By the time it dawns on you that you are staring at two unattended bear cubs, it's too late. A shadow falls over you. Turning slowly, you can only stare as a shaggy mass of brown fur rises behind you. You've found the culprit. It's a bear. A big one.
She Looks at you, and then to her cubs, she grunts and calls out to her cubs. They rejoin each other and continue off into the woods.Judge's Choice: just-sora

About Loot:
Loot is all the stuff you can find in the forest! Each entry will be randomly rolled for what loot you find. The loot can be turned in for either Coin (
) or event points (pts). Event points can be spent on the following specialty familiars:

Additionally, remember that there are a few different
other familiars that assist with loot. The familiars must be assigned to a horse in the entry for their bonuses to count.
HOW TO TRADE IN LOOT
- Submit all entries to this comment thread [HERE]
- An admin will reply back with what items you rolled.
- To trade in loot for or pts, reply to that comment with "Cashing in for pts" or "Cashing in for coins"
- To mass trade in loot, reply to one comment saying "Cashing in ALL for pts/coins"
- To mass trade in only specific items, reply to one comment saying "Cashing in ALL of [specific items] for pts/coins"
- Any questions or comments about your loot balance should be done in the general comment section to avoid cluttering the trade-in thread

Earlier in the evening, before all
hell broke loose, the people of Vanaheim were enjoying a grand spectacle! Drakes from all around dressed in their best trick-or treat attire! How ghoulish can you get? Is it a costume or is it seidr? Is it funny or nightmarish? We can't wait to see!

Once again we are so very thankful for what an amazing turnout you guys gave Vetrnaetr 2016!
We have had several requests to hold custom sales for these exports during/before Veternaetr closes this year so that the new starters may also compete in the event, and we have obliged!
RULES: - Bidding starts at $100 / 10,000 - Bidding must increase by $5 or 500 - Bidding ends when a bid has gone unchallenged for 8 hours, or when autobought - Autobuy is at $500 each to encourage bidding. Bidding starts below in the comments- If you win, your custom may be any number of genes, genetic mutations (i.e chimera etc) and may also have Cloak applied if you also purchase/aquire that item. They may be mare or stallion and you may design it yourself or request an admin to design it for you.
