I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years but I've always had a penchant for comic book art. I've also been fascinated with super-heroines and how time would eventually take a toll on them. Would their powers weaken or would they lose them altogether? And, wouldn't they look ridiculous if they kept wearing the very same skin-tight, Spandex costumes throughout their lives?
I was curious about this and so I pulled out a few sketches by some established artists and drew over them to see how some of these super-powered ladies would turn out. My apologies go out to these talented artists but I tried my best to replicate their individual styles in these images depicting each heroine's age progression.
A lot of these images have been previously posted on Yahoo Groups and as a result I've been spurred on by a few good people to draw more through commission requests. If you're interested in commissioning me to draw something similar for you, either based on pre-existing artwork or something from scratch, don't hesitate to contact me and I'll see what I can do for you.
