Awww, it's funny but it's also REALLY SAD! I hope that this feeling toward your art was only passing, because it's not true! You may see no growth but I do and I'm sure a bunch of others do too! Your style has stayed recognizable and consistent, but that's different from lack of growth.
If it does trouble you, maybe completely changing your style would do something for you. And I don't mean adopting an anime style or realistic style, I mean reworking your methods and everything, focusing on different aspects of your technique, seeking different results in terms of mood, stylization, composition etc.
I think it is great with how you have grown though, with just doing your thing~

It was born from redrawing something I'd drawn...yeesh a decade and a half ago at this point.
It was meant to be a fun exercise to give myself a little morale boost (something sorely needed at that point) proving to myself how much I'd improved...so imagine how demoralizing it was to finish the drawing, think it looked pretty good, then go back to compare the two and realize...they looked pretty much the same.

It didn't feel like that should even be possible given the amount of drawing that I do on a regular basis. I mean, I've put in a lot of effort, focusing on certain flaws and taking online courses and doing research, but you'd think just the sheer amount of practice involved would've made it so that I'd have improved somewhat.

The sheer ridiculousness of the situation had to be shared. It's so stupid it's funny.

At least we can get a laugh out of it. :D

Haha!
But maybe now it's a higher level of art of yours that you deem to be scribble. :P

But at least you have now a degree!
...didn't they teach you how to sell a pile of dog poop in the middle of a sheet of paper as high art?

Yeah...
This was sorta inspired by real life. I redrew something I had drawn years ago as a fun exercise to see how much I'd improved. Turns out I didn't improve. It was supposed to be a morale boost, but ended up having rather the opposite effect. ^^;

At least we can have a laugh about it, though, amirite? :D
