Tattood Koi

Inspired by Japanese Tattoo designs.

This three tier cake has been brush embroidered for the water effect with bas relief Koi fish, finished with line work piping and simple blossoms.

This cake was on the Table of Honour at the 23rd Annual Squires Kitchen International Exhibition March 2009

Wow! I know you said the koi were relief but did you make them apart from the cake then added them like some chefs do with fondant? And how did you make the flowers? Is it icing? I love how the water really flows wonderfully and smoothly from tier to tier !
