I made this little dog on commission. She is made of Sculpey clay and painted with acrylics.

On big sculptures, yes. I really love making small things though so I rarely need them. And you were close...they are called armatures :)

This was my first attempt at fur. It was kind of stressful. I actually started about three dogs before I was happy with my technique. I am pretty proud of this one though :)
