Commissioned as a gift for ~chignon by a mutual friend.

Loki from the Marvel Movie Universe, played by Tom Hiddleston. A rare real-person portrait from me, haha.

Given the positive response to my poll [link] (thanks so much to those who took the time to vote, your feedback is appreciated), I will release a detailed tutorial/walkthrough of how I'd painted this, covering the methods I used from creating the concept sketch to the final painting. I will provide some tips on using custom brushes and layer modes to texture skin, as well as some general tips for painting faces. Keep an eye out!
