Jim the T-Rex Cowboy
Here is Jim the T-Rex Cowboy. The nice thing about when you are an anthro t-rex is your arms are long enough to reach your face and you have enough fingers to do legit finger guns, which sadly most t-rexes can't do.

If you look at the embroidery patterns on his shirt they are actually triceratops heads and of course he has a bronto (well, apatosaurus) belt buckle.

Alex the Parasaurolophus Soldier
Here's Alex, the Parasaurolophus Soldier. I have to admit I was influenced by Doc from the Terrible Thunderlizards when I chose this species of dinosaur for a soldier, even though this guy would be an enlisted soldier rather than a merc like Doc.

Eric the Velociraptor Biker
Here is Eric, the leather-clad biker dino. This is the second in my dino series. I made some custom brushes to help with the zippers and chains and I still had to tinker with it a bit, but it certainly made it easier than trying to draw them all out.

Bill the Stego Construction Worker
Here is Bill the Stegosaurus Construction Worker!

I've been doing some hand drawn sketches lately and coloring up in photoshop. Sometimes I just start directly in photoshop but I feel like working out the details in a hand sketch works out really well sometimes when it's a lot of detail. I also didn't nitpick the scale details as much as I do sometimes, so these have been going a bit more quickly, which has been great.

This is the first one of a series, I'll be uploading the next ones over the next couple weeks.

Red Raptor Sculpt
I finished this a few months ago but hadn't got around to taking photos until now...

This is relatively smaller than some of my other sculpts so it was a bit quicker to do, I finished it in less than a month and that was just working on and off. This is 14.5 inches (36.83 cm) long by about 5 inches. (12.7 cm)

I referenced a drawing of a Velociraptor by Crash McCreery from the first Jurassic Park movie, but I went with my own color scheme. I used glass taxidermy eyes from Van Dyke's. This is Fimo over a foil and wire armature. I usually use Sculpey Premo but I had some Fimo I bought a few years ago and this project was small enough for the amount of it I have. (Still have some so probably will do another small project with it.) I like how solid and "plastic-like" the Fimo turned out but it seemed a bit soft when I was sculpting it (and this was regular Fimo, not Fimo Soft.) Of course, in my experience the firmness of all polymer clay varies from batch to batch within even the same brand and color. After baking it I airbrushed and hand painted with acrylic paint. As a side note I was kinda proud I was able to balance the sculpt so she balances on those little feet without a base or support.

I have been in a very dinosaur mood lately (Well I always am, just particularly so!) :D between the release of Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom (saw it last week, excellent!) and I received my Beasts of the Mesozoic raptors from David Silva's beautiful figure line of dinosaurs. They are fantastic and portray the raptors in the modern scientific view of being feathered. I like the feathered look but as an 80's/90's kid I still love the ol' scaly Jurassic Park style raptors. I might do a feathery raptor companion piece for this one, I haven't sculpted feathers in a long time so might be an interesting project.

I like to sculpt, paint (both digitally and traditional) graphic design, and digital photography. This page is dedicated mainly to my paintings and sculpture. My favorite subjects are dragons, dinosaurs, animals, monsters, anthro, robots, and a wide range of sci-fi and fantasy characters and creatures.

I'm a Mac fan (but I don't care if you are too, choose the weapon that suits you, I always say.) I like playing PS2 and PS3 occasionally. I collect action figures and most of my collection are dragons, Godzilla and other monsters.

I have a graphic designy-type day job but I would love one day to have a job a little closer to my heart. :) I usually don't take on commissions but I will make exceptions, so if you have something in mind that matches my style send me a message or an email. My job takes up a lot of my time so if I can't take on a commission, please don't be offended. Thanks for stopping by my page and have a great day!
