Fixed Fusion Monsters: Marine Beast 2.0

Description

Here’s the third picture from my Fixing Fusion Monsters series. This time, it’s an updated fusion of Water Magician and Behegon, called Marine Beast 2.0. The reason I named this monster Marine Beast 2.0 is because, in the Yu-Gi-Oh!manga, anime, and card game, there is an actual Fusion Monster named Marine Beast that unfortunately lacks many of the elements of both Water Magician and Behegon, making it unworthy of being a true Fusion Monster.

The original Marine Beast was a sea monster with the upper body and arms of a lion, while its lower body consisted of a fish tail, similar to mermaids and mermen. Although this monster was aquatic like Water Magician and savage like Behegon, it completely lacked the necessary elements of both fusees, as it was merely a feline merman rather than an aquatic reptile like Behegon, and it showed no clear traits of Water Magician in its overall design.

While I actually liked the idea of an aquatic beast despite the flaws mentioned above, I decided to give Marine Beast a major revamp, and as a result, a new and much more faithful fusion was born. Although the aquatic and animal themes of the original Marine Beast were preserved, the lion’s upper body and the fish tail had to be removed in order to make this new Marine Beast a more fitting combination of Water Magician and Behegon in terms of overall design.

This new Marine Beast, also known as Marine Beast 2.0, is a sea serpent that features the hair and armor of Water Magician, along with the body, head, tail, claws, and teeth of Behegon. Like the previous two fixes, this redesign was not a complete overhaul — I retained the aquatic and animal themes while adding more elements from both fusees and introducing a few new ideas into the update. Additionally, I kept the concept of a beast with a tail instead of legs, but altered it to better reflect the anatomy of the two fusees.

Instead of being an aquatic lion like the original version, this new Marine Beast is now a humanoid aquatic snake with barbarian-like hair, wearing a sea warrior’s armor. The hair was inspired by Vikings and cavemen to replace the original lion’s mane, the green sleeves from Water Magician were reimagined as spiked green bracelets, the eyes and gems on the chest and lower body retain the same colors as those of Water Magician, and the color of Behegon’s lips was reused for the claws.

Born from the Fusion of Water Magician and Behegon, Marine Beast 2.0 is a primordial sea serpent that embodies both arcane mastery and savage aquatic power. From Water Magician, it inherited vast knowledge of hydromancy, allowing it to manipulate tides, currents, and floods with near-perfect control. From Behegon, it gained its immense physical strength, ferocity, and reptilian body adapted to the crushing depths of the ocean. Unlike mindless sea monsters, Marine Beast 2.0 is highly intelligent and tactical, using magic and brute force in equal measure. It can summon violent floods, drag ships beneath the waves, and overwhelm entire coastal cities when enraged. Despite its massive size, it moves through water with incredible speed and agility, striking its prey with claws and fangs before vanishing back into the depths. Regarded as both a guardian and a harbinger of destruction, Marine Beast 2.0 rules the seas it inhabits, punishing any who dare to challenge its domain. The stats of this new Marine Beast are pretty much the same from the original just like to the last two revamped Fusion monsters.
