I apologise, but as you can see, it was done in art rage demo (which I will be purchasing the full version of ;) ) soon. I'm pretty proud of this one, as it's my first piece in artrage, which I would recommend to anyone and my second ever digital art. It was done with watercolour and a black line art overlay. Please shout out anything you see that could use a little more shading, detail etc... I know the right paw is a bit dodgy... I will also update this once I have the full version of artrage.

Enjoy!

Life is better with Dragons...

Everything is better with Dragons...

Please do not use any of my art without my written permission (I don't bite).

Edit: I have updated the main image with a couple of small improvements.

It's a good work, but you should fix some things.
First of all I would recommend you to use references. When I draw dragons I always rely on animals. Even though there no dragons in our world ( :( ) You can find a lot of animals that are similar to them in proportions. You can use lizards and crocodiles, rats, wolves, big cats and even horses.
For this drawing I would recommend you to take tiger as a reference:
www.google.ru/search?q=%D1%82%…
To add muscles you should know where there are, when you add them at random you spoil your work. Again you should google something like "horse/tiger anatomy", anyway not all muscles are visible. Try to look on an animal and on it's muscles and skeleton pictures and find what is visible and what is not.
And another point is the wing location, here you can find some awesome tutorials about it

and here are possible dragon anatomy theories

I hope I could help you, If you have any questions feel free to ask! ;)

maybe you should add muscle definition (like on the legs) on the neck and tail? i'm not sure, they just look a bit blank when compared to the legs.

Yeah... I thought they were a bit plain... I'll probably just do another one rather than edit this one further. I haven't had much time for art recently with school work :(

the right hock looks odd to me.   I think you might make it smaller and move it a little further up (if that is a possibility).  on the right front you should distinguish if we are seeing the top side or the underside.  If the top side the thumb is on the wrong side.  If the underside you might  put some pad or palm details on it.  on the tail spikes, i would think it would be cool to have them cross over the top of the tail on the bend so that they end up on the top side of the tail.

on the shading, I would say to bring up the high lights over the back and get some deeper shadows on the underside, face, and legs.

Really nice head by the way.  I have a lot of trouble making one that robust.  They always end up more delicate than I want.

Don't worry about those details yet ^-^ it's a better idea to focus on the big parts before zooming in on details.
(Try to shade the right hindleg a bit darker and a little bit smaller to make it look like it is further away.)
Other than that, nicely done :D
(And true that ^^)

Just don't get stuck into something ^-^
Improve where you see the need to, but don't try to make it -super perfect- yet...that will come with time :D
