Saph sketches by Dragon-Soul117 Saph sketches by Dragon-Soul117

“A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself.”
Jim Morrison

Well, been working on this for a while now. I'm very sorry for the complete lack of output recently, but I've been struggling to finish any one piece before I start thinking of sketching or starting another. Also been a bit busy and preoccupied (lazy too :D), so I haven't spent as much time as I would have liked on my art. However, I do feel I am improving with my digital art. My colouring still has a lot to be desired, but it's supposed to be cartooney on this one anyway. Movin' on...
Just wanted to do a few character sketches, and something a little more comedic ;) File for this one somehow got to 100mb... 0_0
Also built my own computer! Very happy with it, and I'm yet to encounter something it couldn't handle. Artrage lags a lot less as well.
I've still got quite a few to finish, several dozen I want to start, not all that much time to do it in, and lacking many of the necessary skills for most of them :P Better get practicing! :D

Every Fav and comment means a lot to me. It lets me know my art is appreciated, and I appreciate that. :)

Also, WIP look at possible next deviation:…

Yet to encounter stuff it can't handle huh :la: Run it on the highest settings xDD
(It has a dragon!)

All jokes aside, looking really good there man. You're refining your own little style more and more :)
I like the well defined muscles. That's something you've done since the beginning very well. Your dragons have a real sense of mass there and it's something I still need t work on :D
Also if the file is ridiculously big you probably set the canvas size to some insane number, made the colour depth like 32 bits and added a big amount of layers to boot; it racks up quickly then! It's not necessary to start out a painting at 3000x3000 pixels. Try it in steps like 1600x1600 and then increase to 2048x2048 as you see fit.
I have slowdowns with Krita too, more than I'm used to as Photoshop has ran fine on my pc in the past and zBrush has no lag at all lol.

Loving the upcoming artwork already :D Procastinate on space until the planet hype becomes real :D
