Come sit in grasses
of late summer and early fall.
Listening to crickets
and the sigh of a breeze whispering secrets.
Together we can paint the night sky
Getting lost in stars falling around us
With the silvery moon sweeping our essence upwards
To galaxies and supernovas in the expanse called space.
Together we will hang a tire on the rings of Saturn
And glide through the Milky Way.
Let's be daring and jump off into the unknown.
Beyond the reaches of this world,
Through bright lights of a distant star's dying embers.
Catching the tail of a comet
We land amongst fireflies in a flash of sparks
And the click and hum of katydids
In the field of swaying grass and sweet memories.
