Adding companions to your import
Before Submitting to Salon--
Your uploaded stryx needs to have 75 AP before any edits can take place, and before any kits can be used.

Please refer to it for all information on adding accessories import editing.

Image Resolution

You must provide the full resolution files of your import.

Approval and Corrections

A design admin will go over your changes and let you know if anything needs to be fixed, or will approve your request!

If you are asked to make corrections, please comment again in the Salon with the previous and new design. Do NOT comment in Design Corrections!

Only ONE import per comment, please!

Design-Locked Imports

Among others, all Imports in this folder are design-locked:

Guest Artist Imports, Advent Stryx, and Raffle Stryx cannot be redesigned.
However, if you wish to add Tack, you may add tack and other import decorations.

Backgrounds & Decor in the Salon

Requests for additions of ONLY backgrounds and official pre-made import decorations should be directed to Import Info Changes. BGs and official pre-made import decor may be added through the Salon only if they are being added alongside Salon-specific requests.

Update an Import's Background without a PSDDo you have an import whose background you want to update but you don't have the PSD? You can still change the background - and it'll only take you a few minutes!
What You'll Need:
  > The blank template of the bird's species.
  > The bird's import, downloaded from EyeOfGalyx.
  > The background of your choice.
  > An image editing program that supports clipping layers.
Step 1
Open the PSD template and choose the body type, tail, and mutations that your bird has. Merge all of the visible layers and delete everything else, including the backgrounds. This is your base layer.
Step 2
Take your background and paste it below your base layer.
How exactly you do this will vary between programs. For Photoshop use 'Open As Layer' under the File menu. For SAI you'll need to open the background as a separate image, hit CTRL-A + CRTL-C then switch back to y

Types of Edits

There are various types of edits that may be performed in the Salon. These different types of edits may be combined in a single request for one import.

Free Edits

These edits to a stryx's import may be done without any items of achievements.
More info can be found in the Clean-Up Edits of the Stryx Salon Guide.

Free edits include:

Clean-up edits (tweaks to touch up a sloppy or blend, etc.) where the overall design looks the same.
Changing the color of your line art

Unedited Image File Hosting
For Free Edits, an unedited stash file is not required.

75 AP / Apparel Status Edits

Stryx who have accrued 75 AP qualify for Apparel Status and may be given personalized edits.
More info can be found in the 75 AP Edits guide.

If your Stryx is still Omega, you must get official confirmation of your 75 AP for Apparel Status!

Unedited Image File Hosting
For Apparel Status edits, the unedited image file is hosted by YOU in your Stash. Do not delete this file.

Tack Maker's Kit

A Tack Maker's Kit can be used to add accessories that exceed the allowances of Apparel Status.

Companions on Imports

Companions are allowed to be depicted alongside their assigned stryx on imports.

For Companion edits, the unedited image file is hosted by YOU in your Stash. Do not delete this file.

Eye Color & Biorhythm Changes

These Elixirs may be used to change a stryx's biorhythm and eye color.
More information about these edits can be found in the Biorhythm Elixir and Elixir of Eyes item art descriptions.

Unedited Image File Hosting
For Eye and Biorhythm edits, an unedited stash file is not required.

Major & Minor Makeovers

Makeover Kits can be used to redo a design. Major and Minor kits have different allowances.
More information about these edits can be found in the Makeover Kits guide.

Unedited Image File Hosting
For Makeovers, the unedited image file is not hosted by the user. They will be hosted by EyeOfGalyx. Do not delete the file until your Salon request is approved.

Personal Background Kit Approval

Art Requirements

Artwork should be painted and detailed, and not overly simplified. We will refuse backgrounds that may resemble clip art, over-simplification, or anything potentially offensive in nature. Artwork must be original or commissioned with explicit permission. If commissioned you must provide proof of permission to use it for DracoStryx. Artists are welcome and encouraged to include their credit somewhere on the art.

Naming your Pack

Please give your pack a name that fits it and isn't already taken (by either our Official BG Packs or another user-made pack) so that when your pack is sent to the Inventory we know which pack it is. For a list of all player made BG packs please refer to this Google Sheet.

Getting it Approved

Your background needs to be approved by an admin before you can apply it to imports. Background packs will not be submitted to your inventory until they are approved. Once the background has been approved or you've acquired a copy of the personal background kit, go to Import Info Changes and follow the instructions there to apply it to the import of your choice.
