Alsel is a foul mannered Elnin who specializes with tinkering with and repairing various machinery, making their temporary homes in smaller cities, avoiding larger ones as they tend to be too noisy for for them to focus on their work properly. Impatient and coarse, Alsel tries to keep social interactions to a minimum so that they can resume their (likely only) hobby of working on mechanical systems. Because of how unstable some machines can be, they tend to be covered in nicks and is almost always seen with bandaging.

Despite their rude demeanor, Alsel gets a good amount of work due to lack of others specializing in the field, especially with how machinery tends to be looked down upon. Travels are taken on a periodic basis, to research how other towns build their own technology, and to apply new methods to their own work. Their focus on their work tends to lead to neglect of fur care, often leaving their fur scruffy and tangled.

Though intelligent and proficient in connecting the odds and ends to make things work, Alsel's lack of utility with just their paws leads to constant angry barking at their pomu to do the tasks requiring held tools, before immediately immersing themselves back into fiddling with the interiors. Said pomu is often seen either scurrying around to gather tools, or struggling to lug excessively heavy things around in some manner, often following an angry command from Alsel.
