This is the second result for TetZooCon
's Palaeoart Workshop, a generic gorgonopsian, simplified to a geometric approximation (first result here
). At some point, I should redo this one in vector.
I certainly enjoyed this departure from a stricter process and the opportunity to do traditional art again. Hopefully I can keep this momentum going forward. Much obliged to pilsator
for the encouragement.
There was a contest appended to the workshop that involved affixing the resulting drawings on The Venue's main room's walls, but I didn't see ripping the page out of the notebook I was drawing on working out well for the drawings themselves (especially the allosaur) and I needed the notebook to take talk notes. So if any of the convention attendants don't remember seeing these works, that is the reason why.
That said, I do hope the person who found my pencil sharpener at the Paleoart Workshop makes good use of it.
Pencil on A5 notebook. Cleaned up in Photoshop CS3 and Paint Shop Pro 9.
