Besides, you know how The Council reacts to people taking extended leave.” CHOP! “We both know that’s not true, Heskan. I’d be willing to bet that The Council would be more than happy to grant you the extra leave, not to mention the fact that you have at least a year’s worth of leave built up.” CHOP! The Red Dragonborn let out a heavy sigh. Ever since he returned to work, Heskan would often come home and find himself in an argument over work with his wife. Although the arguments were light and brief, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of regret, like he was letting Sora down. Nevertheless, the Red Dragonborn had to work, he wanted to work. “I need to go to work for both of us,” Heskan said, “or else who’s going to support us?” “Heskan,” Sora grumbled, trying to remain calm. “We’ve already

The twins, Mehen and Surina, were both sleeping soundly on the soft surface, completely ignoring their aunt’s loud voice. At least they're doing alright, Sora thought to herself. “...So that’s everything. Any questions, Sora? Sora? Hey!” Lazily snapping back into focus, Sora spoke, “What did you want again

Eleasis 22nd, Meadowview Estate, Dravosburg “Mmm, so warm,” Sora whispered while snuggling up against Heskan. It had been five long months since she laid her two eggs. One was pink while the other was orange. Both measured about 9.5 inches in diameter and 30 inches in circumference with the orange egg being slightly bigger than the pink one. Currently, both eggs were safely placed atop a small but sturdy table made of wood. The eggs were wrapped tightly together in a navy blanket to keep them warm. Meanwhile, Sora had just crawled back into bed despite having gotten up minutes earlier to begin another knitting project. Her husband, Heskan, had woken up, noticing that Sora picked up her needles and yarn. Not wanting to get up just yet, he persuaded Sora to come back to bed with a clever verbal tease, convincing her to lay back down beside him. The white nightgown Sora wore seemed to glimmer in the morning light, making it difficult for Heskan to look away. “How are you feeling

Alturiak 14th, 1496DR, Sealoft Sora gently brought her horse to a stop and breathed in, exhaling a moment later in relief. Through her nostrils, she could smell the saltiness of the ocean air; in her ears, she could hear the squawking of seagulls overhead, which only meant one thing. They had arrived at Sealoft. Sealoft, to her knowledge, was an old fishing settlement on the northeastern coast of Certaminbus that bordered the Sea of Swords. Because of its location, the town often found itself fishing closer to land during the winter months as the cold conditions made it difficult for both the ships and crew to leave port. But now that spring had returned, and most of the snow had thawed, the population of Sealoft went back to fishing further out at sea, employing many boats of different sizes to assist in the hunt. “So, this is Sealoft,” Sora said, looking out into the sparkling sunlit sea. Heskan rode up beside her and stared at the town ahead, stopping just short of the

Alturiak 11th, 1496DR, Riverside Inn The faint chirping of birds could be heard as Heskan awoke. The raging blizzard last night had stopped, leaving behind a fine coat of snow on everything outside. Another morning, Heskan lightly yawned, his eyes adjusting to the morning light. He took in the features of the room, the aged wooden walls, the fresh white bedsheets, and the face of the beautiful woman still asleep beside him. The Red Dragonborn smiled upon seeing Sora, arms wrapped tenderly around her bare waist, she still looked elegant, even while sleeping, he hoped he could wake up like this every morning. Unfortunately for him, with his arms around her, the slightest movement would no doubt wake her, but he had to get up. Moving slowly and quietly, Heskan carefully withdrew his left arm, sliding it between the White Dragonborn’s side and the bed until it was free. He gave her a soft kiss on her forehead before finally getting up, grabbing his glasses from the

Alturiak 10th, 1496DR, Riverside Inn A fierce blizzard raged outside. The force of the winds violently shook the inn’s wooden walls. Meanwhile, a Dragonborn sat idly in a chair by the fireplace located in her room, which did little to increase the temperature of the cold bedroom. Her White Dragonborn blood normally offered her a natural resistance to frigid climates, but her body still shivered as the cold was unbearable even to her. The Dragonborn’s name was Sora. She was 24 years old with scales white as snow, she wore a light beige robe with light blue cuffs, collar, and choker along with a short cloak. She was a wizard who worked for the Foundation of Arcane Research, and over the past 12 years, she had studied magic and had traveled the world in the pursuit of arcane knowledge. Unable to tolerate the near-freezing temperature any longer, Sora reached into her leather satchel that was placed next to her armor which had been removed upon first entering the bedroom. After rummaging

Sorry for the wait. I meant to do this last week but I’m finally posting Fire and Ice chapter 3 (Rewrite) at 9 est tonight for anyone who reads these things. See you there!
Sorry for no uploads. But I'm trying to write other fanfictions than Fire and Ice right now. Plus, with school ramping up, I'll only have less time to do things. So please be patient if you are waiting for the next chapter. Thanks.
I haven't been able to do anything due to the amount of schoolwork and studying over the past month. I have multiple deviations in development, but finalizing and releasing them will take time. As my second semester of school starts, work will be intense and I will have very little time to write and draw. So for now, deviations will be released when they can on Fridays and/or Saturdays. Until next time.
