So I like the image, the figures are in the right place, poses are good and I wonder about the characters (their motives etc)
What I think lets the scene down is the following:
1. Ground texture (it doesn't look like grass)
2. The water effect (on the girls skirt, rock, demons feet etc)
3. Lighting, limited shadow on the ground
This is the problem with Daz/Poser, you keep having to buy new products but there are some good free props on 'sharecg' and you can always apply textures on planes gained from free texture websites
I appreciate you are new to Daz, I've been playing with it for a year now and it can be a complex piece of software.
With ShareCG read carefully what the vendor is offering because a lot of times the items are add-ons to existing products. Also don't go for size, often the big buildings and .objs will be low quality. Sharecg is good for the little bits, little extras etc. Have a look at the following people on ShareCG
JLK - Lost of poses
McGyver - Some good props
Alninja - weapons/poses
3-d-c - Proper vendor, offers add-ons and props
Mausel - His German street prop is amazing
Don't forget textures, I use www.cgtextures.com/ , a new grass texture coupled with a light angled down could change the image immensely. With the floor try going on the surfaces (colour) tab and changing the vertical/horizontal tile effect. This will tile the image used, making it more detailed.
I appreciate the critique, thanks.
I'll check sharecg for free stuff, but I have noticed a lot of what is offered there is generally missing the file after download. Any advice on how I can tell if I should download a freebie from the sharecg site?
