Its been a while DA,

I went off and worked for a few years and now I'm back out in the wild again. I picked up a number of cool skills and I intend to put then to use in the form of a game. Currently that may mean working on something for PSM or PC. Who knows! Its exciting! I'm working on learning C and going to use the weekends to work on art again.  I'll toss up sketches and other art here to have a bit of a backlog of everything that I've fiddled with.

If you like something drop a line, else enjoy your lurking.

Going to be finishing up school in December so I'm trying to get that last awesome bit of work out before (hopefully) getting my time eaten by a job. This year's Unearthly Challenge seems like the perfect opportunity and with a topic of end game it seems all too appropriate.

I've gotten started over on poly count with my team mates, and now only a month left so we're going to buckle down and see what sorts of awesome we can produce.… << Our thread of awesome!

Tablet is back, managed to hang on to one of the ones from school for the time mine was away. I've got a massive project I'm working on with two friends. Its nearly done.. I'll post shots of it when it is. Its awesome and from war hammer fantasy and its pretty much dominating my mind atm.

A bit of sadness, going to be without a tablet for the better part of the month (repairs take an age and a half). So now I get to try and do things old skool, mouse only for a while. what fun...

so I finally got my hands on some new games just as finally rear their project based heads.

If my steam account is to be believed then I have logged nearly 40 hours into left4dead over the last 2 weeks which makes me regret all those useful days around thanksgiving wasted on games. The only thing I've gained from those hours is a good sense of the level design in l4d. Which on my current track of attempting to be a character artist is rather useless.

I guess if i can knuckle down for the next couple of weeks I should have a nice relaxing break to play through the rest of god of war 2, ratchet and clank tools of destruction and uncharted drake's fortune, but knowing me I'll find some awesome contest to try and participate in, might as well give the cg talk challenge a shot, should be fun, right?

Got tagged by :iconvmolless:
The 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic "6 Weird Habits/Things About Yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a journal about their 6 Weird Habits/Things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "You are tagged" in their devPage comments and tell them to read yours...

My weird things/habits/pet peeves...
1) I think laces are a waste of time and only wear slip on shoes or sandals
2) I can't sleep with my neck exposed
3) Even though my hair is in good condition I haven't combed or brushed it in a few years.
4) I like to sit cross legged and sideways (at the same time) on chairs
5) I one day want to live in a cave behind a waterfall.
6) I can't stand bad topology on 3d works even if it will be covered up later.

:iconwhiteraveninlimbo::iconherwitch: and um one more of you guys

I'm busy busy these days, I've barely had any time to make my self any finished art pieces. Its almost scary how much time being a full time art student takes. I've got another weekend contest piece I'll upload in a day or two once I do a more proper render of it. I'm working on an original character for a DnD campaign I should have a finished version done by next Sunday which should be a good vacation from the CG work I have been doing as of late. I finally have a basic 3d class, but I have to learn 3ds Max to pass ah the minor sacrifices we have to make in life. So I have an assignment from that I might end up posting here.
I don't think I'm going to be updating Infinite Paradox until mid to late February since I'm trying to write out some comics that will actually maintain reader interest.

I won weekend challenge #210 with the topic War Machine and I am darn proud. I got to pick the topic for this last weekend but I could not participate. Its a bit of a shame I really like participating in the contest so I'm not sure if I want to win any more, sitting out a week is somewhat saddening.  School has been keeping me busy, I made a boo boo and took 4 art classes at once; Typography, Anatomy, Perspective, and Image Manipulation. Those keep me super busy all the time and for every moment of it. And the moments I delay from doings it (such as this entire entry) push the time of my sleep farther and farther away.

I'm working on a Halloween comic for Infinite Paradox and it will obviously not be up for Halloween, it should however be up by Friday so keep an eye out for it.

So life has got me chained up most of the time now and well its just kinda super busy in college. I've fallen out of updating Infinite Paradox. Which was I think one of my greatest hobbies I ever had, so I'm going to need to get beack up on that. My scanner driver has been giving me hell lately... missing files from my twain_32 folder or some junk.... I spent the last 4 hours painting a composition for color theory and I wish I could scan it to show everyone...

I's like to send some birthday wishes to :iconherwitch: even if I am a day behind calenderwise its still the 16th in my head...

anyway, theres a lot of stuff brewing. and a minor undertone of pirates verses ninjas, I'm surrounded by artists can you say group project ? ^_^

so much to learn so little concentration.

I haven't finished any of my digital paintings in a while...and I keep changing my standards to just a little bit higher... so it could take a while.

I'm working a cityscape in blender for my comic, so we'll have a background thats constant for a while, its coming a long nicely but it looks like I'm going to have to do some texture painting to make it all look right.

I'll be attending Anime Expo this year so drop me a line if you want to meet up.

Dawn of 2,000

I'm become less than satisfied with the way a lot of my work art work has been going lately. I've come to two important realizations, one I have no obvious consistent styling to my work and two most everything seems to have lousy composition. This probably arises from my lack of re-sketching concept art.
I'm going to putting deviations on hold for a bit while I revise my artistic process. I'll be tossing sketches into scraps during this process and feedback will be appreciated.

In other news my 2k is fast approaching and I'll make an art piece(2d or 3d) for who ever grabs a screen cap of that and on an even nerdier note,  grab the 20,000,000th  deviation and I'll feature you or your character in a comic.(20 mill has already come and gone)

Infinite Paradox will continue to update on Sundays or Mondays and I'll finaly start puttign a week of work into it; insted of just throwing stuff together at the last minuite...

See you all on the flip side, I'm off to sleep;

Turns out someone has been spaming all over from infinite paradox so the site was shut down by the host,
so the site is down until further notice.

mmm it looks like I found out what people on this site like realy like,
So I would like to send a thank you out to the 100+ people who viewed sword storm(in both its single and duel screen versions), but I make enough art as is so this journal entry will have to suffice ^^;;

seeing as no one grabed the 1500....I guess I'll make it open season on the 2k

but i still kind of feel like doing a couple of requests
so if you have art you want done toss a note my way,

so it turns out I miscalculated my winter vacation, and I've got quite a bit more left. I'll be using that newly discovered time to do well something...yah...
I'm thinking of doing some poly modeling but I can't quite pull into my head what...
I'm sure I'll think of something just you all wait...

but untill then, if anyone grabed the 1500 drop me a line at and I'll see what we can work out.

I'll make 1 full 2d or 3d work for who ever grabs the 1,500 pagevies since I'll be getting that around my first DA anniversery.

Its been an interesting year, and in review there are soo many works that made that now seem half assed. But I've made 100 deviations and about half as many scraps so I'd say that i'm going to have to call it a sucess.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do this next year in terms of art but all I know is that it will be.

Thanks for sticking with me through it all,

And Happy New Year
