Fear and doubt struck home with a forceful blow,
And insanity ensued in a frenzied flow.
The world around him silenced and faded,
Numb and drowsy and suddenly jaded.
His mind was tripping, his heart was racing,
Enchanted by her gaze embracing.
His legs were trembling, his palms were sweating,
Why, in Hell, was he fretting?
Standing there , face to face,
Pulse was throbbing and picked up the pace.
His tongue was dry, and solid lead,
Senseless crap all filled his head.
Body rigid, tense and stone,
A heat wave surged, yet chilled to bone.
Couldn't speak, or ask her out,
His gut was sour, and full of doubt.
About to puke, how could this be,
He'd lost his nerve, his bravery.
He had not known how he'd lost control,
He choked on feelings, on heart and soul.
He loved this girl, cared so much,
Her warming presence and gentle touch.
Her musical laugh and mystical stare,
Enthralling voice with a flirtatious flare.
Enticing eyes and a luring smile,
And gorgeous legs by the silky mile.
