Windows 10 May 2021 Update (v.21H1) is here!

2021 May Update

CHECK THE GALLERY

Hey guys, good news... Windows 10 May 2021 Update (v.21H1) has been released and all of my previous version themes are still working great without the need for any updates or fixes!

Just make sure you follow the proper procedure before updating to avoid breaking your Windows installation:

1) First, switch to the Default Windows theme from the Personalization menu.

2) Then uninstall UltraUXThemePatcher from Windows Settings > Apps and restart Windows.

3) Now go to Windows Updates and update to the latest 21H1 version.

4) After Windows restarts, download and install the latest version of UltraUXThemePatcher and restart Windows once again.

5) And finally, you can again apply any custom theme from the Personalization menu to make your Windows cool again!

ENJOY AND HAPPY THEMING!

Windows is a weird ecosystem that has different types of apps, from legacy/Win32 to UWP/Modern apps. As a result, some apps allow us to change the icon of the apps pinned to the taskbar and some don't. To fix this problem, I've created a method that works regardless of what kind of app we want to pin to the taskbar. So please check out my HOW TO USE CUSTOM ICONS IN THE TASKBAR GUIDE. There are a few steps that involve a third-party app used to change the AppID of a custom shortcut, but if you follow along closely, you'll see that it works. I even have an example in the guide to make things easier. Enjoy!
