Howdy y'all! It is I, Vye Brante, chucking this blog post/update at 'ya. Ain't that just sweet of me?
I thought I'd give a little update on Unbeatable, the DPCA podcast. In case you haven't heard or haven't paid attention, Unbeatable is a audio show where VexxBlack and I talk about making Pokemon comics. We do a show every other week and talk about various topics concerning making comics. We had hoped to keep each episode about half an hour . . . but lately we are lucky to stop before we hit an hour. But that's just more for you guys to listen to, right? Along with comic making, we also plug various DPCA comics and we ramble on about things like work and video games.
Up until recently, the podcast had to be downloaded before you could listen to it, but not anymore! Now we have a nifty little audio player. You just go to the podcast site and you should see the player pop up. It may take a few seconds to load, but at least you don't have to wait for the whole thing to download anymore. (Although you still have the option to download it if you prefer.) The player is Windows Media Player based, and as far as I know is pretty universal. You may have to install a plugin for it to work if you don't already have it. I know it works with Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and FireFox.
If you do have any problems with it though, be sure to let me know so I'll be aware of the problem.
If that isn't good enough for you, we are now also available on iTunes! You can download the files from the iTunes store and listen to them from there, or even put it onto your iPod! Although, I am not really sure how to edit RSS feeds yet so iTunes doesn't have some of the information yet. The files are there for now though so that should be all you need. I'll provide the link to it at the bottom of this post.
So you should have plenty of listening options, and that means no more excuses! Go listen to Unbeatable and be sure to give us plenty of feedback and questions! If you have any problems, let me know and I'll address them as soon as I can.
I never seem to be able to keep things short and sweet, sorry.
I thought I'd also let you know about some upcoming topics/shows. Next episode, we will be interviewing MysteriousJeff of Pokemon Yellow Comics. (Seen here: www.drunkduck.com/Pokemon_Yell… ) We'd like you to send questions for us to ask during the show. Otherwise . . . what will we talk about? The next show will be recorded right before Halloween, so we thought we'd talk about holiday specials. If you have questions or suggestions related to making a Pokemon comic holiday special, ask or send away! Just send me a note and we'll talk about it in the show.
Plus, as mentioned in the most recent episode, we are open for people who want to be on the show as guests. We'd like to interview Pokemon Comic artists about their comics. If you have a comic and would like to be on the show, let me know! We'd prefer that you have Skype, but if you don't, that's okay too. We can call you on a phone, but be aware that the sound quality might be lower, and that it costs us money so we may not be able to get to you right away. Again, just note me and we can get something worked out.
That enough information for you? I am always open to suggestions or questions for the show. Think we ramble too much? Would you prefer us to be all business and stay on topic? Want us to stop talking about Generation 5 for half an hour? Want us to KEEP talking about Generation 5? Just let us know! We make these episodes for you. We want you to have fun and maybe even learn a little something about making Pokemon comics. We hope you enjoy listening to us and want all of our comics to become Unbeatable!

...Hello?
To anyone still watching the DPCA: Hello, and thank you. We’ve been pretty inactive.
And that’s basically what I’m writing this post. I’m not really sure what to do in these cases.
I am just a contributor to the DPCA. I’m not an admin and I don’t have access to everything. I don’t even get to see page submissions. I can’t remember the last time I saw a batch of pages uploaded. (I used to get those requests but not anymore. Long story.) About all I get to see is when a new author requests to be a member or if a group wants to be an affiliate.
My point with that is I don’t have all the po
DPCA Author In Need
Hello everyone! We know we don't normally do this sort of thing, but we thought this was a special case and so we made an exception!
One of our DPCA members is a team known as sulfurbunny (https://www.deviantart.com/sulfurbunny) . They create a comic Known as Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Team Victory Fire. Night, one half of the team behind the comic, is in need of financial aid. You can find out the details from the links below.
We wanted to just help spread the word about the donation drive, and so if you are at all able to, I hope you will consider chipping in. At the least, help relay the message further so we can get Night the help they need!

That's right, I decided to make video versions of the reviews. (Well, the term video might be a little lose considering there is little to no motion, but there is audio at least.) So you can check out that version, or the text version below! Both are more or less the same. (Other than a few places where I messed up while recording but meh.) This is a bit of a learning process but hopefully future videos will be much easier to put together! But yeah, check out the review in whatever format you'd prefer.

DPCA Highlights (and announcements)
Yes yes, I know. I promised the first highlights would be weeks ago. I dug into working on the first review, which I ended up turning into a bigger project and then was met with unexpected delays. The review is more or less back on track so you can expect that very soon. (Like should be less than 48 hours soon.) But for now, here are those highlights.
I have a few announcements too, but we'll get the highlights first because those are more important!
For this set, I focused on the All Ages folder because I think a lot of times it's hard making a comic that is suitable for any Pokemon fan to read. I theorize that we all get our fill of the "
