XPS Saint George with different dragon
Knight and spear models extracted by me from Chivalry: Medieval Warfare (I also extracted the buckler to complement the spear, originally a javelin)

Dragon from TES V: Skyrim extracted by :icontokami-fuko:

Horse model extracted from Dragon Age by :iconpadme4000:

Just for the background: Saint George was born in the Roman Empire (his original name was something like Georgius) under Emperor Diocletian and eventually became a soldier. Diocletian ordered the persecution of christians and at one point Georgius converted himself to christianity and thus refused to persecute christians (some sources claim he quited the roman military for that). This made the Emperor furious to the point of ordering Georgius' arrest, and he would later be tortured and executed, becoming a martyr. George was originally depicted fighting against a human enemy, representing the pagan oppression he felt on his skin, but during the Middle Ages this changed and he was depicted fighting a dragon (likely thanks to the superstition of the medieval people).

"But hey that is not a dragon! It has no wings!" You may say, but for medieval people that might have been the case as medieval legends did not have any strict description of a dragon like modern pop culture, be it about the presence or abscence of wings, number of limbs, abscence or presence of ears... you name it. Still not convinced? Take a look at these paintings of Saint George himself d.ibtimes.co.uk/en/full/137516… upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia… upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia… vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/as… upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia…

"But hey that is a wyvern, not a dragon" I know this has been going on since Skyrim first came out, but I want to give a more indeep look at it.

IT IS INCORRECT TO SAY THAT THE DOV SHOULD BE CALLED WYVERNS

Many people have the simplistic vision of "4 legs=dragon/2 legs=wyvern", but this claim does not hold up when we talk about The Elder Scrolls Lore or Medieval Legends, but specially when we talk about The Elder Scrolls Lore. "How?" you may ask... well, if a dovah is not a dragon because in Medieval Legends a dragon is supposed to have 4 legs (wich is incorrect, but I will get there later), then Ulfric, Balgruuf, Hadvar, Ralof, Galmar, etc are not nords, but norsemen (the word "nord" meant "north" in old norse www.nordicnames.de/wiki/Nord) and the Dwemer are not Dwarves because they were not short. In TES Lore some words have different meanings, so Medieval Legends may not be comparable to TES Lore in this aspect.

Now to further refute this claim: even in Medieval Legends dragons could have two legs. Heck, in some stories they are pretty much giant snakes! "Oh really? What is your source" my source are the depictions of Saint George himself. Just for the background: he was born in the Roman Empire (his original name was something like Georgius) under Emperor Diocletian and eventually became a soldier. "Okay so how does this help us here?" You see, if dragons are supposed to be exclusively four legged creatures in Medieval tales, what on Earth is George fighting in these images www.foliamagazine.it/wp-conten… upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia… www.speakenglishgalicia.com/bl… static.independent.co.uk/s3fs-…? So you see now: even on the medieval legends dragons were often depicted with two legs instead of four (sure there were four legged depictions, like these i.pinimg.com/originals/23/c5/a… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Ge…), so this argument of dragons being supposed to have four legs is completely incorrect.

Extreme Copyright vs MEMES
Made with MS Paint by editting this i.redd.it/6bjhkog1tvq01.jpg

Some people are so paranoid with copyright that they do not want anyone to do anything without the author's permission (what goes against Fair Use), what can be easily useful for censorship. Memes are the worst nightmare of these paranoids, so I made this meme to make fun of it HA HA!

Baby Hadrosaur Portrayed by The Isle Dryosaurus
Dryosaurus model belongs to The Isle and was extracted by :iconphelcer:

I just made some changes to the body proportions (wich was not that difficult) to make it look like a generic baby hadrosaur. Dryosaurus is a small and primitive ornithopod, and with the right body proportion changes it looks like a generic baby hadrosaur.

XPS T. rex Eating Edmontosaurus 2
The T. rex model was extracted and converted by me and made by :iconlittlebaardo:

The Shantungosaurus model was made by :iconswordlord3d: and converted for XPS by :iconphelcer:

The skins were made by :iconpaleocolour:

Both dinosaur models are from The Isle

The user who provided the plants had his account deleted

Ground texture by :icondecanandersen:

I modified the proportions of Shantungosaurus in order to make it look like an Edmontosaurus annectens and I tried to represent the animals' behavior as accurately as possible. I will leave the scenario (if it represents the cretaceous period or an accurate JP like scenario like :iconhublerdon:'s) be decided and imagined by you.

I decided to study paleontology for myself, but I only discuss about things that I realize I know about (when I realize only an actual paleontologist can find the answer, I just speculate). I try to analyze all the possibilities before making a conclusion about something.

I wam also a strong supporter of Jair Messias Bolsonaro in Brazil. I briefly stopped to support him after I saw that he supports torture, but then I tought that some situations may require you to at least punch a terrorist to get information about hostages (hypothetically). Having in mind how Bolsonaro also wants Brazil's citizens to have the right to defend themselves using guns (something that was put to practice during the military dictatorship, but ironically not in modern Brazil) and how he wants to expand the exploitation of graphene and niobium to a whole new level in Brazil, I now proudly say #Bolsonaro2018

Likes: dinosaurs, mega fauna, games, movies, Attack on Titan, creepypastas, jokes, capitalism, respectful and playful people, The Elder Scrolls Lore, The Empire of Tamriel, guns, swords, maces, plate armor.

Dislikes: <any dinosaur> fanboys/fangirls/haters, feather haters, scale haters, communism, people who put victory above fun in video games, people who think that are able to refute anything by using appeal to authority and/or personal attack, stalinists, marxist-leninists, people who barely analize and/or barely ratiocinate before making a conclusion and that after this start to try to refute everyone who says the opposite, the Stormcloak Rebellion, the Aldmeri Dominion

Why do you keep commenting on dinosaur art accuracy when it’s clearly just art?

Well the answer is that when you actually want to reconstruct a dinosaur younreally have to pay attention to accuracy (othwerwise it may not be an actual reconstruction. Just imagine: someone makes a JP like raptor and says it is a reconstruction...).

Now when we talk about ficticional dinosaurs (those in ARK, Skull Island, The Isle’s hyperendpcrines, etc) then I do not see problems in innacuracies.

By the way, I owe you an apology.

Because, after re-doing some research, I realize I was wrong about Mother Teresa.

No problem man. It is nice to see a few precious diamonds apologizing while many people would rather ruin one’s image than to simply say “I was wrong”.
