I've been wanting to create a piece of Mister Freeze for over a year - he's always been one of my favorite Batman villains because his motivations made sense. Once I was able to nail down the correct power suit, the rest fell into place.

I almost left Batman out of the composition - special thank you to :iconisikol: for convincing me to leave him in. I really wanted this one to 'feel' like a cover of Batman.

I like this one! But I do think it looks like Bats and Freeze are working together in this picture, is that on purpose? :)

Hey Doug,

What model did you use for the cold suit. It is awesome and I definitely want to get my hands on it.

I used a mix of "Major Cache" from DAZ3D and "Vap Grim" from Sanctum art. Both are fantastic outfits!

Bummer, looks like he isn't selling his models anymore. Thanks for the response.

this is a really nice armor suit!
My question: is the ice on the ground and in his boots, 3d or painting?

The ice started as 3D, but I heavily overpainted to better match my vision.

It's primarily Poser, with liberal amounts of Photoshop for post-work and cleanup. I often use MAYA for my modelling, but in this particular case, that wasn't necessary.

I sometimes use poser for reference, but I've never seen some of the models you are using. The Mr. Freeze armor and the Poison Ivy Outfit in particular are models I'd like to get my hands on. Can I ask where you found them.

The Poison Ivy outfit is just a texture I made for the V4 bodysuit. As for Mister Freeze, that's a piece from Sanctum Art. I tried to find it online, but it seems his site is down at the moment. I hope he comes back online, because his pieces are pretty incredible.

That's a really good version of Victor. Making his suit more like body armor is a nice update, plus the way you have the hoses going in and out everywhere seems almost like the latter versions of the Borg from Star Trek.

He's my favorite "villain" as well because sometimes he's a bit of an anti-hero who will also save the day. His motive for revenge isn't that far from Bruce Wayne's own motives, either.

Hi Doug..do you care tell me where did you get those amazing...cables? (in Mister Freeze's armour?)

The cables come from Beyondbent. They're part of the Madlab series (I think those particular ones come from Madlab II). I had to pose, recolor and render them each seperately... then Photoshop them into place.

his actually one the best Mr freeze I ever seen as a 3D render. Every thing simply work : composition, lighting, color.
Mr Freeze outfit is amazing.

Awesome picture :)

Thank you. I spent a lot of time searching for the right armor set for both Freeze and Batman. I'm glad it paid off.
