'The Gathering' Kickstarter

As one of the original artists for Magic: The Gathering, I've has a long-lasting relationship with the most popular card game ever.  2013 is the game's 20th anniversary, and more than 30 of the original artists have come together to celebrate that relationship with a book of art featuring updates to many of our most popular pieces.The cool thing is, the Kickstarter is proving to be very popular!  It seems us original artists are still part of the legend.Here's the Kickstarter for those that might be curious;  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1464555500/the-gathering-reuniting-pioneering-artists-of-magi

Chicago Comic Con is over and catching my breath

@fazwel is a scammer and @sheriffsmith567 is a scammer.


He does NOT want to pay you $500 or ANY amount of money for art, permissions, or to avoid a lawsuit. He is a SCAMMER!


How the scam works:

  1. Contact and fake project: A scammer contacts you for a project, like art or "work" you are doing for them. 

  2. Payment via check: They say they will pay you via check, which they will send to you.

  3. Mobile deposit: You will be asked to deposit the check using your bank's mobile app.

  4. More money back: The scammer will then tell you to send some of the money back to them through an app or another method to pay for "project costs" or for other expenses.

  5. Bank returns the check: After a few days, your bank will return the check as a bad check.

  6. Victim is responsible: You are now responsible for the entire amount of the bad check.

  7. Report the scam: You should immediately report the scam to the Federal Trade Commission

  8. Report it: Report the scam to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at ReportFraud.ftc.gov and your state attorney general.
