it comes from a box car which looks like those the nazis used for their "transports" to the concentration camps ... i always have that bad association with this picture
. . . yes - there are echos of the era --also in that 'suspension thing which looks like a Nazi eagle over the center of the wheel
--- and the association of trains used for transport ----it looks 'hard' and bold with the writing .
--But these are just obliquely in my brain - when making myself come up with associations ------ mostly I just see a very strong composition without those negative connotations.
I can sort of understand where you are coming from though - that residue of guilt that Germany feels and finds it somewhat
hard to shake . Personally I would never blame anyone for the sins of their fathers or forefathers . In my case - I had nothing to
do with slave owners - and feel no guilt from 'that' era that should be 'attached ' to me . -- I had nothing to do with it .

we are certainly responsible of all so many things in our lives ... one thing certainly not - where we were born.
this i have no sympathy at all for people who believe they are special for being born in specific region of the world. katalonia
though when i started to travel europe many many years ago i realized that i cannot escape from what my ancestors have done, though everyone must have realized that i was much too young to have been part of it ... but the boys who had been involved were probably just about my age at the time ....
