Lifesize 45 inch Great and Powerful Trixie plush by DoubleBackstitchArts Lifesize 45 inch Great and Powerful Trixie plush by DoubleBackstitchArts
The story behind why this girl got made is kind of long. Well over a year ago, I made my first lifesize pony, the Giant and Huggable Trixie (seen here fav.me/d5n3lva ) for wilshirewolf. Well, a long time passed (about well over a year), and time does things to lovely stuffed ponies, my old techniques were a little less sound than they are now, and Wilshire loved Trixie a lot, so she ended up needing a little bit of fixing up. Popped seams repaired, her coat and mane washed, stuffing refluffed, etc. All stuff I offer to do after a year or so on any of my girls. Well, I had this idea to try and make Trixie better than before. I pitched revising her to Wilshire, and he gave me the go-ahead. So the little repair and revitalize job turned into a body and mane overhaul. And then I discovered the harsh reality that I've just changed too much since I made that first lifesize. The old pieces weren't compatible in the least with my new pattern. So I did what anyone would do in my situation. Instead of just seaming up the old Trixie, I pitched building a new body to Wilshire. And the crazy (but lovable) bloke gave me the go-ahead again. SO. What you see here is the old stuffing and old tail of the first Trixie in and on a brand new body. I'll probably post a "Plush It Again Meme" pic or something with side-by-sides of them, but it was quite a project, but both myself and Wilshirewolf are very happy with how this pony turned out.

Anyway, sentimentality and stuff aside, what's new from my LAST life-size? Well, she's bigger ;D I made her body a bit thicker, her belly a little more chubby, her chest wider and more defined- and I've got so say that I'm very happy with how my life-size pattern looks. Something I can complain about: She's still darn heavy, and ponies this big really don't like to stand or pose, so now more than ever I'd love to look into a fully articulated armature/endoskeleton for my lifesize ponies. Something to make them move naturally, and stand on their own four hooves. But that's just my crazy little side-project.

As always I welcome questions, constructive critique, and friendly advice in the comments, prices are not discussed in comments only by note, and I'm still regretfully not open for commission. But I will be working towards that some time! So keep an eye out, if not just to see my next pony (life-size Applejack, anypony?) then to find out when I am open for commission.

Where else can you find me?

When I saw the Applejack, I thought "Hmm. Life sized Trixie would be awesome", then saw you'd already made one.

You realise that when/if you do start doing commissions, you'll lose any spare time as we'll bombard you with money

Also, I made Monster Pie... The huge Pinkie Pie that's traveling with the Pony Museum. I should make another one at some point again. I made 3 big ponies. 2 Pinkie Pies and one slightly smaller Derpy.

I think I remember hearing about that. I've been bothered a good few times by them looking to get a piece of my work XD Last time I asked what they'd like me to donate and how big, and they just never got back to me ._. I guess it was payback for ignoring 'em these past few years XP I've got a lifesize Dash, a lifesize Luna, a lifesize Rarity, and a lifesize Nightmare Moon up and coming. Seems now that people know I do 'em it's lifesize everything these days.... XD
