About a day out from their departure from Warren, the group found a small cave to the side of the main road big enough for them to make camp in. They sit around a small fire for the warmth. The crackle of flames echo through the small side cave.
With his back against the wall and looking around, a voice asked: "Is it even night time?" Dinco asked. "We haven't seen any, you know, sky in a long time to let us know."
"I got tired, so we stopped." Orann leans back against the rock wall. "You said you were tired too, right?"
"I was." Dinco bobbed his leg up and down a bit while he sat. He glances at the entrance to the cave. "But I think we should get a move on, you know?"
"We've been walking all day. Take a break." Getting more comfortable, Orann put his hands behind his head. "Relax a little."
"Or night." Ehan commented.
Dinco gives another glance to the cave entrance. This glance seeming a bit more urgent. "I-I just think we could make it to that little Underground town Ehan showed
Bon's eyes dart around her pile of ingredients as she scans them over. Flowers of several varieties were laid out in front of her.
Ehan gets up close to Byash, throwing several punches towards his face. He sidestepped each punch, sending his foot forward into her chest to knock her back and gain distance. He then quickly put up his metal claw to defend from Dinco's sword coming at him from the side.
Orann stands there, throwing both of his fists forward with a yell, fire that surrounded his body channeled through them, stronger than before.
"Rghhh!" Byash growled, throwing his metal claw to slash at the fire, separating it into two streams that fly by blasting him. "You're really starting to annoy me with that ranged shit, come here!"
Saying nothing, Orann pumped his fists back and forth to continually shoot fireballs.
Byash smacked each one to the side, letting it land wherever.
Dinco took a step back when one landed near him. "Yo, watch it, O!"
Having to dodge one herself
The shouts and cries of several fleeing Usagia sound and echo through the Underground. A tall Domestica's cackles follow after. He walks slowly down the road, slashing at everything he could think to break and destroy with his long, metallic claws. Store stalls that had once stood were just pules of ruined wood, cloth, and goods.
Orann, Dinco, Ehan, Ulrich and Bon run in his direction, passing by the scurrying people.
The Pyros looked over his shoulder. "Are you sure you want to come, Bon?"
"I really shouldn't, should I?" She replied with a small and nervous laugh. "But yes, I-I want to."
Stopping just a short distance away, Orann called out the Domestica. "Hey!"
With his back to them, he stopped his destruction. "That voice...Sounds like a little kitten came out to play." He slowly turned around, stomping the ground flat with such a heavy right step that dirt was kicked up. He had brown fur, and an evil glare in his yellow eyes. His snout was long and barred his sharp teeth in an
Orann lays on the gronud, arms crossed behind his head. Above him was a starry sky of a dark blue, mixed with the masses of stars. He couldn't get the thought out of his head, watching that Avarian girl in trouble. He stares at a passing comet or shooting star, it faded quickly. He felt a bit like that star, for some reason he couldn't explain.
"Are you still thinking about that girl you told us you saw?" Dinco asks, on the other side of a fire that separates the two of them.
"I am." Orann admitted. "I feel like I should have helped her. That we could have helped her. I know someone did, but that isn't the point."
Ehan returns with more sticks for the fire. She listens to the two of them talk, taking a seat on the ground beside Dinco. "Not even hearing the news on tv helped you feel better?"
Sitting up, Orann put a hand to his temple. "I got all worried about that Badger guy and to find out he wasn't as tough or as scary as I was led to think just aggravates me a bit. How can I be
"What do you think she's dreaming about?"
"I dunno...I've never seen Hexa like this for so long."
Lauren and Natalia push their faces in a bit closer to Hexa as she sat on the ground with her legs crossed and her arms crossed over her chest. The human and the cat make small hums as they try to get a better look at whether their friend was asleep or not.
"Do you think she's really that tired?"
Rolling her eyes, Natalia states: "I don't know what she spends her energy on, we haven't fought that many people recently."
Hexa's purple eyes open up. "I'm not sleeping, I'm resting my eyes."
"Oh, you always say that..." Natalia backs up, giving a look away and a pout. "You worry me when you sleep all day like that."
"My apologies." The purple-clad woman shuts her eyes. "You know my strength comes at a great exhaust to my sleep.....And stomach." She looks around for a moment. "Speaking of, where's that town you were talking about? The one with that really good roast you mentioned the
And darkly nights
End of dreams delight
Send some hope
And ring the bells
Till night befells
And apple trees
In the slightest breeze
There's no hope
None I see
As I fade
There is none of me
