Be cool in Stock photography !
Stock photography in the world is known as imagery of concepts, events, things, etc. that are intended for commercial usage, publishers, advertising, web designers, corporations -such as banks- and many other entities to fulfill their creative assignments.
Usually stock photography is no lesser than any other form of photography, in the world the demand for a great looking, high quality photography is the rule of the business, stock photo agencies have very high standards they will check images before accepting them and they will be pretty harsh sometimes, but nevertheless a stock photographer should do the best effort to offer the best quality around; stock photography sites want: photos without  blur due to camera shake, noise free photos, photos focused on the subject, photos without any heavy manipulation.
DA is a place where stock photography newcomers can hone their skills and practice as much as needed, this said there are some tips that might help you get the best of

Want to make better art? Simplify.
There is an interesting article which appeared on the UCSD website recently entitled Beauty in the Brain.
The article is about the perception of beauty and is a very good read for anyone interested in the psychology of aesthetics. The core of the article basically boils down to this: We perceive things as beautiful because they are easy for the human brain to process.
quoting the article: “What you like is a function of what your mind has been trained on,” Winkielman said. “A stimulus becomes attractive if it falls into the average of what you’ve seen and is therefore simple for your brain to process. In our experiments, we show that we can make an arbitrary pattern likeable just by preparing the mind to recognize it quickly.”
To me, this is a mind-blowing concept; a basic mechanism which can be seen everywhere. For example, it seems to explain why some songs 'grow on us' the more times we listen to

Gallery Hopping
Digital Art
Gallery Description:  "Digital Art, unlike traditional, means artwork originally created via the use of digital tools that mimic traditional utensils such as computer imaging/3D software, digital pen & tablet, computer mouse, or any similar tools.
There is a consideration, of course, for works that were created through traditional means, but were improved with the assistance of a computer. The decision, then, to pick either Traditional Art or Digital Art as the submission gallery for such works is left primarily to the discretion of the artist. If you feel that your work exhibits more traditionally-grounded techniques than digital ones, then Traditional Art should be the home for your submission. If you feel that there's been more digital work done to the piece than traditional work, then Digital Art should be the home for your submission."
In short, digital art is any type of artwork that was created on a computer using a variety of tools and

I haven't been here in a while, for which I apologize. Life has happened, as it sometimes does, but it's about the time for renewal and growth so I've decided to stash everything in storage and move to a new account. I appreciate all the encouragement I've received over the years and hope that everyone has a joyous New Year.

My new account can be found here: harpydora

Hey I know you don't know me but I'm trying to track down a mutual friend of ours who went by the name Skrog. I don't know if you remember her or whatever but if you do and you know where I can find her, I would be ridiculously in your debt. Thanks. >_<
