The lighting doesn't perfectly suit the image. To my eye it could seem more natural and more moody, for want of a technical term. It's vaguely reminiscent of Vivenne Mok's work, which in its way is quintessentially moody. She gets that effect, though, by going to an extreme and dwelling there.
The composition with this pose is truly inspired. You have a tremendous talent for making ordinary situations and poses extraordinary with just the gentlest twist.
Here I see two common poses of weakness brought together, one collapsed inward like an implosion, the other splayed out like a bird fallen from its nest. The weakness of the left arm is given weight by the absence of the right from view. The pathos of the gesture is intense, if subtle. Naturally we want the arm to do something armlike, but it's only one arm and it's fallen half extended. The right hand is close to a position of power, but it too has collapsed. A sad day indeed.
There's an erotic dimension to the model's surrender. Her hand is so, so close to the knot on her shirt. There's a button that almost wants to undo itself. Alas, one has the impression that she's quite alone in this moment. If it's true that we are profoundly alone in our dreams, perhaps we never properly feel it until we see ourselves as if from the vantage of an other. How sad it is then to wake from our refuge in dreams only to realize the sad futility of seeking refuge in dreams....
This is impressive work you're showing us. Thank you so much.
great shot, you successfully captured the innoncence and frailty of a sleeping woman. It looks very natural and the brightness remember me of the morning light

Très belle expression artistique de ces jours tristes.
Nice job
