Take a look in my gallery for more dinosaurs and animals.
Also episodes of my comic can be found in here and in the folders is some more stuff.

By the way, I do my best to draw my paleoart as accurate as possible, but I make some mistakes from time to time. If you notice one, feel free to comment so I can put it in the description.

Understanding the Late Pleistocene: Cave Lion
The Cave Lion
(Panthera spelaea spelaea)

Taxonomy and Relationships:

Cave lions, also known as Northern or steppe lions, lie within the big cat genus of Panthera along with the extinct American lions (P. atrox) and also lions (P. leo), leopards (P. pardus), snow leopards (P. uncia), jaguars (P. onca), and tigers (P. tigris). They’re now usually agreed to be a separate species than lions, being classified as Panthera spelaea, based on both considerable morphological and phylogenetic studies. Lions remain the cave lion’s closest living relative nonetheless. [1]
The early to middle Pleistocene Panthera spelaea fossilis is the direct ancestor of the cave lion which evolved in Eurasia about 700,000 years ago. The climate it lived in was warmer than that of the later cave lion and it was larger. [2] Its status as subspecies instead of a full species (P. fossilis) is deb

I've never given a critique before, but I think this is a good chance to give it a try. For vision it's quite easy to see what you trie...

And this time there wasn't that much of a hiatus.
Also something more obscure instead of the classic or well-studied species I chose in all my previous vids.

The point of these vids when I started making them a few years ago was to learn people how to draw accurate dinosaurs and it made sense to stick to the classics everyone is familiar with. But I guess something not so well-known can be thrown in regurarly. I also wanted to learn people how to do this without the need for expensive tools. That's why I stick to basic, cheap pencils and one fineliner.
I might need to learn how to handle Abobe Premiere or AfterEffects though because it all still looks quite unprofessional.

Hi, I'm Robin, first of all: thanks for visiting my profile! I really hope you are going to enjoy wandering around in my gallery.

Most of it will be dinosaurs and other prehistoric or extinct fauna, it's always been a fascination.
The same goes for our nowaday animals and nature: love it.

Also there's some other stuff like a comic, some OC's with their stories and other things.

Alright and that's it!
Have a nice day :D

What colors would you recommend for a tyrannosaur?
Dontknowwhattodraw94 Featured By Owner Sep 1, 2018  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
Not really anything specific, just nothing that stands out and would prevent it from camouflaging during the hunt. Earth colours would work well I think, but for patterns or specific colour schemes you're free to do wathever you want. Just think logically.

Would eridesent feathers work as they can turn dark in dark places?
Dontknowwhattodraw94 Featured By Owner Sep 2, 2018  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
I'm not sure if such structural colours would be very likely on the protofeathers of a giant theropod. Iridescence is mostly common on stage 4 and 5 feathers IIRC, but those aren't found yet on anything outside of Maniraptoriformes.
