Rustic Systrum 2

Systrum made from a found tree branch, with disks, beads, and wires of brass, about one foot long, handrubbed beeswax finish.
The bark was peeled from the branch, which was then carefully trimmed, smoothed, drilled, and waxed. The brass disks were punched, hammered into shape, and assembled in pairs on the branch with brass wires and beads. Because of their orientation, the top pair of disks can be played either alone or with the other four pair.
