What was the price? I love Your work btw :D
DonSimpson's avatar
$100 - I was able to get skulls for a reasonable price then. These days I would have to pay more that that to get the plain skull for carving. The Bone Room has closed, to the shock and dismay of its many fans.

I'm glad you like my work. I hope I will be able to find a way to continue it.

I have to say - You are one of great Artists who inspire me to do my own Art :) I'm doing a carved skull right now for my female-friend and it's coming pretty nice. If U have a Facebook account We can also talk there and You could see my other two sites on FB besides my personal one. What are the medium and high prices for carved skulls now? And where to buy them if anywere...? :)

I am one of several Don Simpsons on Facebook, but my picture with the white beard and bowler hat, and the ancient trolly station background, should help.
So, who are you on Facebook?

Look for Saturian Khazard

Right now not much is going on on net with my stuff, but soon I want to launch big time! Biggest problem and why it's taking so much time is money and the fact that I'm doing everything by my self...

OK, I have added those to my Facebook stuff.
Do you need a team?
Saturian78's avatar
Team? To help me with my work? Hell yeah! But since I'm in poland that might be difficult... I plan to move to UK to my family in next 4-5 months. Where do U live right now?

I'm on the west coast of North America. If I were on the east coast I could have visited with my Italian friends when they came over on business.

You sold this at Further Confusion? Oh Mai Gawd more reasons for me to get my butt out to that con.
DonSimpson's avatar
It's getting harder for me to sell at FurCon, but I may be able to do next year's.

I think Dark Natasha got this one.
Taigas-den's avatar
She's a beautiful person and I have quite a few of her prints ^^ Well, I hope to see you at any con! If not, I'll definitely find some way to buy a piece from you
DonSimpson's avatar
Well, I'll look forward to selling you one, then. :)

I really like this, but I'd probably end up breaking it by making it 'talk'. :giggle:
DonSimpson's avatar
It sold almost immediately at Further Confusion.

Break it with 'talking'? Probably. For a lot of talking, it would need a springy hinge, and maybe be on a staff (or at least a stick) with a lever. Hmmm. There are possibilities....

No surprise there, it's nice.

I don't know how big bobcats are- I thought I'd just put my fingers in it somehow.

Then we'd travel around putting on Sunday school shows for small children...:giggle:

:)

This is a large bobcat, the skull is about 5-1/2 inches long. I think it would be possible to hold it and manipulate the jaw, just using one hand. But it would likely be awkward.

I have a friend who does magic and puppet shows for children. I suspect he would not use Bob, The Dead Cat. :giggle:
Hell-is-a-56's avatar
Hmm. I'll just put in an order of extra finger joints and it should be fine.

Maybe he wouldn't, but I think Billy Bone Bobcat and I could widen the eyes of children everywhere!

And then dampen them.

And then redden them...:D
DonSimpson's avatar
Yes, I think you could. :omg: :eyepopping:  :sniff: :fear: :tears: :stare:

Hmmmmm. I must consider this. I may have to make....
