Animal Farm 2026 Review
I've said this before, but when I go into a movie expecting to hate it, I don't want to be right. But this was sending off so many red flags. From the very first clip they showed to promote the film right down to the trailer, it was painfully obvious they weren't even trying to honor the source material with this. It's already bad enough that this is a family film, you know, instead of an adult film, but the fact that it's also a comedy with very typical humor certainly didn't do it any favors. And the fact that Andy Serkis insists that this is what George Orwell would have wanted, oh, I had a feeling this film would get a lot of negative emotions out of me. Because of this, I had to at least try and judge this as a film on its own.
Well, on the upside, it didn't make me angry. If anything, I just felt nothing watching this. As an adaptation, it fails on just about every level. And even as a standalone, it's still not good. It contains the basic plot points (Save for them
