Wow... it's been a while since I've picked up a paint brush... seven months in fact. At this stage I think I would have been happy to finger-paint some stick people. This was a commission of an each-uisge for a website (each-uisge.com). This website is the (obviously fictional) diary on the life of the each-uisge (see below).
The each-uisge is a nightmarish demon from Scottish folklore. This bewitching creature disguises itself variously as a bird or handsome youth, though its main incarnation is as a magnificent horse with a mane of seaweed. Those who wish to possess it may be amazed by its willingness to let them ride it, at which point they find themselves bound to its back as if by glue. Prevented from escaping, they are dragged underneath the waters of a nearby loch and promptly devoured. The each-uisge isn't a fussy eater and gorges itself, but pate clearly isn't its thing, as the uneaten liver floats to the surface as the sole trace of its victim.
Wow i love this pic it is truly amazing. Very mystical but yet life like. It reminds me of a painting i saw when i was a young kid. It was painting of white horses running through the water and again very mystical. The image of that pic has been in my mind ever since as it made such a big impression on me. I had never again saw a painting of horse/s quite like it untill now when i saw this. Love it, love it,love it. I only wish i could paint like this
